It was our first time to this restaurant, my mom & I came here and omg let me tell you this place is fire ❣️ This place has amazing food options are endless , The service is top notch! The prices are on point! The desserts look awesome but haven’t tried them yet. Definitely got a bunch of pictures to brag and share. This place is a must have, soooo impressed Can’t wait to come back!! Keep up the good work

First time here. Very clean, comfortable atmosphere. I received excellent, fast and friendly service and delicious food. I stopped in for a quick bite to eat. Late lunch/early dinner. I ordered 2 steak tacos ala carte. I orderd them the traditional way, soft corn tortilla, cilantro, onion and lime. They were hot, fresh, and full of flavor. I will be back with my family for a full meal.

Casa Balbina Mexican Cuisine and Pancake House is a local, family owned restaurant in Crown Point, Indiana. We ordered the Steak Fajita Salad and Chicken Taco Salad. The ingredients were fresh and tasty. The home made salsas and chips were excellent too. Besides the Mexican fare, they offer an extensive traditional and Mexican breakfast selection. All this at prices that won’t break your budget! Skip the chains and try this locally owned business for authentic Mexican and American breakfast. I highly recommend it.

My Wife and I were looking for a place to take our Granddaughter and Grandson for dinner. My wife has Ciliacs and has to eat gluten free. Many Mexican meals are naturally gluten free so we opted for Casa Balbina.
Upon arriving on a late Saturday afternoon we found a mostly empty dining room. We were promptly greeted and shown to our table. Our server was quick to ask if we would like to order some beverages.
We noticed that a portion of the dining room was set up for a fairly large party. Soon several tables were prepared with warming tables and food. On cue several people started arriving and it became apparent that there would be a birthday celebration.
I only mention this because our service and server remained on point with our little party of 4.
On to the food. Each person in our group had a different entree. Everyone enjoyed their meal. It was delivered hot and the presentation was excellent. Ingredients were very fresh, portion sizes were more than adequate. My Wife and the Grandchildren decided they had room for dessert, I had my fill with my Loaded Burrito. The desserts looked great and according to the family equally delicious.
You need to understand that this is not a high class restaurant but it was clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. If you’re looking for an excellent dining experience with a friendly atmosphere and staff at a very reasonable price then this is the place.

First time here and it was delicious. I ordered green chilaquiles with steak. Eggs were cooked just right. The meat was tender and everything was flavorful. The prices were also very affordable and not outrageous like many other places. Will be back to visit another time. So much on that menu I’d love to try!!

It was our first time here , nice atmosphere , great customer service and the food is super tasty . For those who like coffee is lavazza so it’s delicious ! My husband got the green chilaquiles with steak and I got the red chilaquiles with steak . Both good and not spicy at all ! The red sauce they bring in a bottle is spicy and also super good ! We also tried the carnitas tacos

Food was very good, host welcomed us and we were seated immediately with no wait. Would’ve given it 5 stars but I kept running out of coffee, place was pretty busy but only had 2 waitresses for the entire restaurant. Feel like the busboys could also help with refilling the coffee. Will definitely return to try and make it 5 stars as the food is very tasty and the coffee is hot and delicious

Yoselin was a great server! This was our first visit to Casa Balbina. The food was good and had a lot of unique flavors to it – which was a nice change of pace. Bathrooms were spotless. Service was great. We got the Bandera steak burrito and the 3 Marias.

We reserved the back room for my father’s 70th. The staff were all so kind, attentive, and caring. This is a place that treats you like family and, generally important to a restaurant, has amazing food to boot. The entire place is also very clean.
