Delicious food and drinks. Treated us like family. We were in Cali for 2 days and literally visited this establishment twice because we enjoyed our first visit so much! Highly recommend the Michelada Cubana and Pozole Verde as well as the handmade tortillas de maiz and the horchata!

New to area, try this Restaurant which had great family vibe as we walk-in. We try tropical ceviche, governador tacos, queso- birria tacoas ans ahuachiles. We were all satisfy with good qualify food. I dont drink beer but had mango michelada. Abd it was good, light and sweet and spicy. I enjoyed the great drink and my tacos.
We definitely enjoy our time and good quality of food. I greatly recommend the Tropical Michelada Restaurant with good food and family vibe environment.

First of all they did an amazing job with the decor it’s so beautiful outside and inside is even better .
Service : Our server was very attentive, he’s bilingual , great recommendations on the Michelada we tried the Mango Chamoy Michelada and tastes exactly how he described .
Ambience : very nice , the music is perfect my jams lol
FOOD : we ordered the enchiladas verdes with shrimp comes with rice . Rice is good my husband loved it . The enchiladas are delicious!
My husband ordered MOJARRA FRITA it comes with little sides on the side andddd HANDMADE tortillas !!

Tropical Michelada is a true hidden gem. The tacos gobernador were outstanding, perfectly grilled shrimp with cheese that melts in every bite. The chips and salsa were fresh and packed with flavor, and the guacamole was creamy and delicious. The staff was friendly, and David, a waiter and floor manager, was working hard making sure everything ran smoothly. Great food, great service. I’ll definitely be back.

Thought we would try out this new place. My family and I are huge foodies. We were instantly welcomed and my picky eater daughter was accommodated with something not on the menu.
This is a real Gem!!!

Worst experience ever! My girlfriends and I had our Galentine’s dinner here we arrived there around 7:30PM and didn’t get to order our drinks or food in till an hour later. Our drinks and food came one by one but one of my friends ended up not getting their food at all. One of their servers offers a dish “on the house” yet my friend just decided to cancel over all because we all finished eating. And even tho she refused the “on the house” meal they still brought her a plate to eat.
And later when asking about our round of shots the server said “that were almost coming out” but never came out at all. And we had ordered it when we first got here. At this point it was already 9:30-10PM
I requested the check and after 30 mins of waiting for it we all got up to ask for it because it was never going to get to us at this point.
Once we got the bill I reviewed it over what we ordered and they tried to over charge us on drinks and the “on the house meal.” I kindly asked to have the checked fixed and the same server who gave the “on the house” meal said she removed some drinks from the check due to the inconvenience. Because at this point it was 11:20PM because they were taking forever. when I looked over the check again nothing was fixed.
That we had to pay the “on the house meal” because my friend ate some of it. We ordered 4 mango chamoy margaritas and she said removed 2 from the check but yet was charging me 3?! And they were charging us two margaritas flights when we only ordered 1?! And a few other additional drinks that we didn’t order. And a bill close to $500 dollars.
When I spoke to the owner the only thing he was offering was to remove $20 dollars or pay the amount because he can’t do anything else. And I told him about what his server had said that she will fix the check and honor the items she had claim she would honor. And he told her who authorized her to do that and she lied to my face saying she never said that. And the owner refused to fix it even though my party of 5 and I told him that she literally said she would fix and honor the items. Because we had waited over 4 hours trying to be served here.
The owner has no shame, didn’t care about fixing our check and tried to belittle me and his server was being defensive when it was her who offered and didn’t wanna look bad in front of her boss. Please beware of their servers they will make your drinks strong so you aren’t aware what you are paying for and will take advantage of you. Managers and owner are never to be found but only there to make sure you pay. Worst experience I ever had and I will never come here again!!!

An other 45 min to an hour waiting for the drinks and for other 3 to order food about another hour for 5 plates being told over 3 times that the last plate will be right out
After another 45 min and canceling the order, we get the last dish “on the house”
Another hour waiting and waiting for our last round and we never got it we had to get up and demand a check because we had enough
We never received utensils (only one single spoon we had to share because a dish came out with one singular spoon)
We never were offered water and had to wave down to remind waiters of our order (still never rude or disrespectful)
After demanding the check they thought we wouldn’t not look over… they tried to charge us over $450 (22% service charge and 3 items we did not order)
They tried to charge us for the “on the house” item we tried to cancel, extra margarita and an extra flight of margaritas
We did not receive any of those extra drinks they tried to upcharge some drink when the waiter was the one to offer doubles due to the long wait
The owners then tried to say we were trying to bully them into free drinks

Arrived at 12:30 PM and didn’t receive our drinks until 1:00. After that, we waited another 45 minutes and finally asked to just pay for the drinks because service was moving at a crawl. While waiting to pay, we could hear the cooks saying, “We just got here, how can we have it ready?” which was not reassuring at all.
Service was extremely slow and disorganized from start to finish. I came in with high expectations and left very disappointed. Definitely not the experience I was hoping for.
If you want it harsher, shorter, or more casual (Yelp vs Google vibes), I can tweak it.

This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. Ordered drinks and food at the same time, the drinks for one person came out 20 minutes later and then the next drinks came out 40 minutes after. My food came an hour after I ordered, then my husband’s 20 minutes later, then my son’s 20 minutes after that. We kept having to ask for things, forks, napkins. They just kept telling us “the rest is coming”. My plate smelled like a dirty towel. The music was good but it was so loud we couldn’t hear each other talk. I really hope people read these reviews. It seems as someone opened a business without completely knowing what they were getting into.
