Place was only okay, I’m glad I tried it, but will likely not go back. Great service, drinks and (very generous serving of) gelato. Skirt steak was cooked to order but not tender, scallops were overcooked. Lobster ravioli was excellent, especially the sundried tomatos in the sauce.

Overall everything was under salted, and frankly I was a bit let down that nothing blew me away, especially for the price. The place is very loud, and not very good for an intimate setting.

Highlights were very friendly wait staff, and beautiful drinks. We had a lavender martini and a coconut grass skirt that were well balanced and lovely.

Possibly my favorite dinning during a recent visit to Hermosa.

I stopped in for an early dinner around six on a weekday and was seated immediately. Waiter let me know I could choose from their normal dinner menu or even their Social Hour menu if i wanted to try some small plates .

So glad he recommended this to me as I ended up choosing two amazing plates that were perfectly prepared.

I started with a cocktail that was nicely balanced with a gin of the waiters recommendation. They brought out a freshly baked bread with cheese on top and an olive oil and balsamic dipping. So simple and so delicious.

The two plates I chose were Shrimp scampi and crispy Brussels sprouts. Shrimp does not come with pasta as most people would think . Instead it has a southern Mediterranean approach with four big scrimp on a bed of lightly cooked greens in a garlic infused broth , served with a grilled bread to soak up the sauce . Heavenly .

While there is often not much to a side of Brussels sprouts, these were cooked perfectly with the right amount of char and crispness to them . Both dishes went well with the cocktail and all flavors balanced out so good , making this a great experience .

My waiter and the staff were very accommodating, made great recommendations and very professional.

Make it a point to visit this restaurant and would advise also to make reservations as by the time I left the place was packed .

Keep up the great work ! Look forward to visiting again next time I am in town .

You can tell a place is popular if it starts filling up immediately when it opens its doors. Dropped in for an early dinner on Thursday. Cozy place with an upscale vibe. Starter bread is top tier, and high quality food and service. Had the calamari, ahi tartar, and rigatoni and wasn’t disappointed. Convenient pay garage nearby so parking wasn’t a problem given how close to the water this place is.

Zane’s Restaurant features a fantastic Happy Hour on weekends, with food plates that provide excellent value. We usually choose to sit at the bar, and if we’re fortunate, Chris Traven is on duty (as seen in the photo), making the experience even more enjoyable. Chris is also a comedian, and you can catch his performances every Monday night at Pancho’s in Manhattan Beach.

Alex was our waiter for an outside table yesterday and it was cold and he made sure to bring the heater closer to us, check in on us often. He was an amazing waiter
and such a personable person. His attentiveness is top notch! The kind of service our table of 6 got yesterday was beyond my expectation, being around his aura calmed me down. Thank you Alex sincerely because we had such a long day from the competition and the drive from San Diego. I liked the calamari and shrimp scampi!

The staff is super nice,, and listens to what you say!! The menu is full is yummy stuff, brocolinni and lobster ravioli for me . Gluten free options, seafood,, land food,veggies. The wine selection is good. Great location and awesome ambiance! Parking was easy too!!!

Atmosphere was quiet and upscale. We sat at the bar for drinks and an appetizer. The bartender did not disappoint! Delicious drinks and appetizer.
Also, the complimentary bread is absolutely amazing! It comes with balsamic, olive spread, and hummus.
The tuna tartare was very tasty and there was a lot of tuna in it! Additionally, the man sitting next to us had a rib eye which looked amazing and he praised the whole time. Enjoy!

Had a lovely dinner here. We started with the octopus and it had a lot of flavor. Tasty and great for sharing!

The sea bass was delicious!! So were the scallops! We split these and both were really tasty.

Cute little neighbor spot by Hermosa Beach. I would love to come back and try a few other items from the menu. Friendly service! Cute and honey interior.

The food is extremely mediocre.. I would definitely suggest going elsewhere. All canned food and low quality. Ordered a steak medium and it came out more than well done. Presentation is very lackluster. Ordered the calamari, and it was all cut thick and very chewy. Ordered the brussel sprouts, they were burnt and you can tell the frying oil needs to be changed. Ordered the chicken parmigiana, and it was stacked with cheap cheese, and had that same burnt oil taste, I couldn’t even finish it. Ordered the T-bone steak, horrible quality meat, ordered it medium and it came out beyond well-done. Onky thing that was halfway decent were the French fries. Wait staff was somewhat attentive and checks on you normally. I would only come here to hangout on the porch and enjoy the views

Zane’s just started serving brunch! We love their happy hour/dinner and we’re so excited to test brunch. It exceeded expectations. We ordered the Benedict Pizza, steak and eggs, brunch sandwich with truffle tots, donuts, and a pancake for the toddler. As well as some delicious drinks for the adults – Negroni’s and Aperol Spritz’s. Everything was scrumptious and the service was on point.
