Used to love this place when it was China Palace 88 but under the new owners it is just plain horrible. I do have to say that the egg roll was acceptable. Not the best but not the worst. Why they call them spring rolls is beyond me as they aren’t spring rolls. Next we ordered the Sesame Beef which was disgusting. Dry with no sauce, no vegetables or other items in the dish. The beef was dredged in cornstarch and each piece tasted like flour. The meat stuck together in the sweet sauce that was like glue. Also, I think it was supposed to be spicy which it was not. Price was outrageous at $13. Yuck. Won’t be back and can’t recommend.

I called with the intention of ordering my favorite thing – beef Chow Fun (thick rice noodles). They didn’t have it. Instead I ordered my alternate favorite – Singapore rice noodles, which I order with chicken & shrimp (no pork jerky) & with the only vegetables being Green and white onions.
They were amazing. So much flavor, so much going on. It had the usual Curry flavor I was expecting but there was something else going on that I couldn’t figure out…a hint of oyster sauce? I have no idea. It was awesome. I’d say one of the top 3 Singapore rice noodles I’ve ever had.
The only downsides are that Singapore rice noodles usually come with chicken, shrimp & pork, but they made me choose. I chose beef & the portion was smaller. It you know about the containers it was the shorter “Tupperware” type container & it still cost almost $11.
One last beware is that it was very spicy due to the chili I could feel crunching in my mouth. They gave me a side of very spicy chilli oil, which I’m wondering is what adds the unique flavor in this particular dish. Either way I didn’t mind it but I’m sure my wife would have had a hard time eating it.
Regardless, I’m glad I tried it again because it seems to be under new ownership. It used to be called China Palace. I had been there long ago and didn’t like it. It wasn’t bad – the items I had were just made different than usual so they didn’t taste right I had no intention of ever going back until I noticed the name change.
I’m glad I went back & will be coming back regularly for just this dish.

Not a bad place. Some dishes are miles better then the others. Its a guessing game until you find the dinner you really like. That being said, the garlic chicken is AMAZING, seasame beef/chicken is also pretty good too

We used to love this place! We had an order delivered for the first time tonight under the new ownership. First problem was it took over 1 hour & 20 minutes for the food to arrive. 2nd problem was the price was outrageous (over $50 for 2 people). We probably could have overlooked both of those issues, but the food was awful! Get Rolls were soggy & greasy with a weird aftertaste. None of the food had a good flavor. We’ll probably end up throwing most of the leftovers away, and we NEVER do that!

Love there Singapore noodles. Always crave them in Tuesday, to bad there closed, but every business deserves a day off. Need to add coconut shrimp to menu. I get it at Chinese restaurant in pingree grove and it’s awesome.

First time ordering from this location although we have eaten at the Woodstock location. I have never posted a review before but the food was horrible. Spring rolls were greasy. Crab rangoons were doughy and soggy. General zhou chicken was flavorless and chicken tasted like it had been sitting for days. Beef chop suey lacked any flavor and I got a piece of inedible beef stuck in my throat and nearly choked and could not breath. Had to heimlich. Will not order again from here

Wonderful fresh, loaded, crab Rangoon. For my untrained taste buds the hot and sour soup was some of the best I have had. The meal was traditional and well prepared.

I used to like this place, but not under the new ownership. The food is now terrible. I ordered mongolian beef and fried vegetable rice the other day and it was horrible. The beef was nothing like before, this one was mostly mushrooms and onions with a pale color, it was just not appetizing. The rice was overcooked and it didn’t have the fresh vegetables like before. I will never order from this place again. They need to make big changes or they will be out of business soon…ah and it took 3 calls for them to finally answer the phone

Just tried to call for 15 min…. at 7pm on a Friday night no answer on phone. Wow…what a way to start out trying to earn my business. I normally dont write bad reviews…however in this case perhaps your hours should say your closed on your website. Social media can make a restaurant or crush one. To the owners what direction do you choose?
