Visiting here from California… & I ate Lunch here today for the first time. As a person who was raised at In n Out… I can say this Place is one of my favorites! The service was wondeful! The Restaurant has a CLASSIC vibe to it… a Burger Joint Frozen in Perfection!!! I got a Double Bacon Cheeseburger & French Fries. This burger is easily in my top 10. I can’t stop thinking about how good it was. The Bacon made an unforgettable crunch when bitting into it. I Enjoyed every moment of my visit here & cannot wait until I return!

If you ever find yourself in Island Kentucky and wondering what you’re going to do lunch look no farther! The island dairy freeze is beyond a shadow of a doubt just a gem! I cannot get away from the cheeseburger I’ve been here a few times and absolutely love this thing it weighs about 60 pounds it feels like, the ingredients taste fresh the burger is crisp on the outside so it’s wonderful. I always struggle on whether to get the onion rings, or the tater tot‘s. The onion rings are like the ones you always want. They’re crispy on the outside with a full onion on the inside. They have these little cheese bites I’m not really sure what’s in them but if I was to guess it’s just deep-fried pieces of Velveeta cheese, they’re super super tasty! They have ice cream and other things, God knows how you would be able to eat it after going through all of the burgers cheese and onion rings. But it is a fun little place to stop I’ve got a place out to the side where you can sit and eat if you want to, or you can just eat in your car. This is not one of those burgers you can eat while rolling down the road.

I took my family to the Dairy Freeze in Island, Kentucky. We had seen them in a magazine as one of the top five burgers in Kentucky, so we went there to try their cheeseburgers. There were six of us, and everyone agreed it was one of the best burgers we have ever had. I had the double cheeseburger, my wife had a double mushroom and swiss, and our daughter had a regular hamburger, and my sons and their cousin all had bacon double cheeseburgers. All were dressed with lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions and mayo…except the mushroom and swiss of course. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned…absolutely delicious. The fries were amazing as well. I don’t know what they are fried in, but they were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and perfectly salted. The price was pretty good by today’s standards. We had the aforementioned burgers, 4 order of fries, 2 orders of the fried cheese balls, 1 order of cheese sticks, and an order of onion rings…and 5 large drinks. All 6 of us ate for about $97.00 after tax which comes out to be about $16 each. But when we were finished, we were all stuffed and ended up throwing a few fries away. The staff was very friendly and patient with us. They don’t have a inside dinning area, but they do have a few picnic tables available outside. In our opinions, completely worth the cost, and the trip which for us was a little over 2 hours each way. We will definitely make the journey again soon.

We have eaten here for years and have always enjoyed it. This time was different though. I was with someone who has several allergies…one being sesame. Most bread companies now add sesame flour to their bread recipes to keep from cleaning the machines…so it is now a hidden ingredient. The girl wasn’t sure about the ingredients when asked about sesame so she asked the manager. He was incredibly rude and basically told the person, “then don’t eat”…he then threw the bun at the customer and said there were no sesame seeds visible. Clearly he wasn’t listening to the customer and truly didn’t care about his safety. The manager didn’t apologize and the customer was unable to safely eat. People in the restaurant business need to understand how dangerous anaphylaxis is and not be dismissive and rude. My family will not be back.

I love the Dairy Freeze. I have been eating from here since I was a kid, and it has never disappointed. Everything is good, there is not a bad item on the menu. I almost always order a cheeseburger. The burgers are large, hot, and taste great. Very consistent. My other favorite item is the peanut butter milkshake. You really cannot go wrong here, and I highly recommend it.

Love this place. Burgers are good, sides are excellent, and the shakes are the bomb. Always get a butter pecan shake whenever we eat dinner here. 5 of us had dinner and desserts.
ONLY complaint I have is I paid $7.50 for ham and chicken on my salad that in my opinion was a bit on the skimpy side. Hardly no cheese, plenty of cubed meat, but very thin on everything else.

My son was asking the manager if there was sesame flour in the buns, since he is allergic to sesame. The owner yelled see for yourself and threw the buns at my son. He made no attempt to find the ingredients. Three of the workers apologized later. The manager must act like a jerk often. Doubt if we ever go back.

It was located over half a mile away from where the GPS takes you. The senior center and city hall. Google doesn’t know it all. Lol
