I recently moved from DT to this area and I sushi Kaido is go to. The sushi is so fresh! The miso soup in my fave in the city (always warm with a lot seaweed). Be sure to try the yam tempura roll & the salmon maki. You won’t be disappointed! So good.

Very Fresh and very quick service. I got the lunch bento box b, and the food came in probably 10 minutes or less from the time I sat down. Big portion too, a whole California roll, not just 4 places like some restraunts do for a bento.

Consistently really good sushi – I’ve been here a number of times and I’ve always had a great experience. Not the best sushi in town in my opinion, but I find myself going back – so it’s proof that it’s still really good!! I enjoy that unlike other sushi spots, you’ll pretty much always get a seat here, no matter when you show up. I will definitely be back!

Once they heard it was just me a lady yelled “go to the back!”.
As I walked to the back of the restaurant (where nobody wanted to sit) I couldn’t help but laugh. Singles go to the back of the restaurant. Another single girl was walking out as I was walking in.
Ordered a single roll “Buddha Roll” $16+ tax and tip.

I got grilled saba (mackerel) and vegetable roll. They were both delicious. Mackerel was well cooked. I liked the veggie selection in the vegetable roll. I just didn’t like that they were a bit large which made it hard to eat.

Staff tried to be helpful as much as they could when I asked questions.

I love that their menu has clear indications on which items are gluten free. Which is why I chose to have my lunch here.

The interior atmosphere and tables were nice. I didn’t have any problems with this place until a large group of loud teenagers came in, which is not the fault of the restaurant .

Sushi Kaido is an absolute gem! From the moment you step inside, you’re welcomed with warm, friendly service that makes you feel right at home. The staff is quick, attentive, and genuinely passionate about providing a great dining experience.

But the real star? The sushi. Every piece is incredibly fresh, expertly crafted, and bursting with flavor. Whether you’re a fan of classic rolls or more adventurous sashimi, the quality is undeniable. Pair it with their excellent selection of sake, and you have the perfect meal.

If you’re looking for top-tier sushi with outstanding service, Sushi Kaido is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

Scrumptious sushi on main st! Their poke bowls are also great, as well as their bento boxes. Great deals, and generous portions. The service was incredibly prompt and nice. Friendly staff, very accommodating and fast. Would definitely be coming back soon.

Good sushi combos and sushi rolls. Ordered a samurai combo and it was very fresh tasting. It was spicy and the rolls were very consistent and nice. Very good quality sushi in Vancouver and Kaido is a go to spot for sure.

Good experience at Sushi Kaido. Inexpensive rolls and really fresh food; atmosphere feels ordinary, and the staff was a little bit too rushed, almost unkind (to us and to everyone at the store). Good place for a quick bite or, better yet, to takeaway some good Japanese food.
