The fried okra was a good, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and seasoned well. Paired with ranch, it was the perfect crunchy contrast to the wings.
Portions were generous, the food came out hot, and everything felt exactly like what you want from a casual BBQ stop. If you’re craving hearty comfort food with bold flavors, Dickey’s delivers.
Since we were purchasing 3 kids meals, one free meal sounded pretty good.
The gentleman taking/making our order did great. They were out of a few things, but let us know in a kind manner.
We paid and started eating. After doing the math I realized we didn’t get a free kids meal.
I went back up and asked about it. The woman at the register let me know that they aren’t doing that anymore and that the stand was pushed in the corner because of that.
When I walked away she told the other people working that they needed to throw those away.
They were still there when we left.
The food was good, and the place was clean. Just frustrating that advertisements were up and not honored, or remedied so it didn’t happen to someone else.
Food: Cooked to perfection.
Service: Excellent. They were out of a couple of side items, and the young man apologized profusely like if he were at fault.
Atmosphere: It’s quiet, roomy and clean.
I pass through about twice a year, and here I know what I am getting. At the other place previously mentioned…. Nah, I’m coming here.
Very nice employees, great prices and food was very good.
Place was clean and well maintained.
Can’t say enough about how well the staff treated us, very respectful.
If we are ever back in that area, we will definitely stop again, thank you for the great experience.
The brisket was as hard as beef jerky, I mean if it was sold as Jerky, it’s totally okay. But brisket, no, not okay.
The jalapeño cheddar cheese sausage was mushy and salty, very weird tasting.
Spinach side was overly salty.
The good stuff was the tap water and freshly fried waffle fries. Sad.
The staff was courteous though, but I think for a restaurant, ultimately food quality wins customers’ hearts.
Maybe take a chapter from Rudy’s? Franklin’s in Austin May be too high of a goal post.
