This isn’t an AYCE restaurant so they have premium meats served al a carte or with a combo. We ordered the brisket and black pork belly combo for 2 with steamed egg and tofu soup – our table all agreed it was the best tofu soup we’ve ever tasted.
They grill the meats for you while you enjoy the banchan spread which included napa and radish kimchi, soy bean sprouts, seaweed salad, mung bean jelly. pancake, and anchovy pepper stir fry.
Though this is a bbq spot, don’t miss out on the other menu items! The boiled pork belly was incredibly tender, and they even cut the beef for you table-side when you order galbitang.
A must-try is their Pyongyang cold noodles (naengmyeon), which are made in-house from scratch. We ordered the bibim naengmyeon and were also offered mul naengmyeon, so we got to try both!
Everything was so good, I’ll definitely be back to try other menu items!
Thankfully we didn’t wait at all coming on a weekday evening around 5 PM. Tip for you!
There are many Korean customers but non-Koreans customers like us we didn’t feel awkward or uncomfortable as they were accomodating.
We ordered the 2 person non-marinated combo and the quantity was just right. It came with 3 kinds of meat, 1 egg, and 1 soup (you can choose between 2). And yes they cook for you.
The number of banchan aka side dishes was amazing! Everything was so good and loved the variety.
I felt their Seafood Pancake wasn’t their best. It tastes more flour and doughy instead of tasting the actual seafood ingredients.
THEY ARE CLOSED ON TUESDAYS. FYI
what we ordered
~ Prime non marinated kbbq combo, we got 2 of this for our family of 8, 5 adults & 3 kids. Was really fulfilling and had left overs to bring back home. Their meat is top notch quality. You can literally tell it’s good. i prefer the non marinated flavor itself.
~ Pyeongyang Mul Naengmyeon aka Cold noodles were a great treat for our dinner meals deed cap. Noodles were yummy chewy good.
~ Soufflé egg was served in the hot clay pot.
Banchans aka side dishes were on point and all good.
Their items are freshly made along it doesn’t disappoint.
Associates were awesome and very fast responding to our Banchans refill and other request.
Restaurant is a little on the smaller side for a Korean bbq. Felt it was a bit compact and not so much walking space between the aisle.
Basic Korean restaurant, not an AYCE. Order the combos you’d like.
The wait was an hour. All of your guest must be present in order to be seated since it’s a 2 hour seating limit.
Lots of parking available in the same shopping plaza as A R Korean market and a few doors away from Paris Baguette Korean bakery too.
We also ordered the hot stone bibimbap, which was excellent. The vegetables were very fresh and flavorful.
The only dish that didn’t meet my expectations was the cold noodles. I had seen a lot of recommendations, so we decided to try it. While the portion was quite large, the noodles were served extremely cold. I have sensitive teeth, so it was a bit too much for me, and the flavor was also a little plain.
