I have been coming here at least 12 years. I grew up here and live out of state where we dont have gyros. The front door now is blocked off by a metal bar I was told because of vagrants. My husband parked out front but as a female I felt very unsafe walking around back to the only open door. There were 3 workers but it was slow motion taking my order when only 2 people were dining there. The Gyro was the worst one I’ve ever had there. Onions smelled spoiled, bland tzatkiki and big chunks of tomatoes no cucumbers. Just awful. I can make a better one at home. So disappointed. The inside is grossly filfthy. Both locations are sub par. Id be interested to see their health dept ratings. After over a decade eating there I’m done!

Got an Italian beef sandwich and for 9 bucks there was hardly any meat on it. I asked for cheese and no cheese on it but I got charged for it and asked for Gardiner peppers they put green peppers on it. My last time coming here. WINDY CITY WILL GET MY MONEY FROM NOW ON

We had a party for about 70 people and had Nitos do the meat. Chuck was super easy to work with, reasonable pricing, ensured I had everything I needed, and put in containers that were easy for me to manage for keeping warm & cold. The food was the perfect amount and a lot of people went back for seconds and thirds. Thanks, Niros!

At 3pm, they started using all pre-cut gyro meat because they were done spit roasting for the day. The heat up the meat on the flat top and add water to steam it. This resulted in mushy little broken pieces of meat with not flame taste. Worst gyro I ever had. BTW, I saw they reheat Italian sausage in fryer with my own eyes. Yuck!

Not sure about what happened to others but I decided my Polish from Der Weinerschnitzel wasn’t enough and decided to hit Niros on the way out of town…and am glad I did!!!
I love gyros and my gyro days date back to the late 60s and early 70s when Zorbas was it on campus. Then they opened up out West Springfield after I moved away.
Now we have Niros and I can attest that over the past 8- 10 years, every gyro was very good with tonight’s a gutbuster!!
I mean look at the attached picture!!
I am only a third of the way through it and am (almost) stuffed.
Great taste. NO ONIONS either as requested.
The only gripe was I wanted MORE SAUCE but am satisfied with what I received.
Good stuff as intended for those wanting food late nowadays.

I’m just genuinely confused about how the weekend gyros special, the buy 2 get 1 free, is an actual deal. A single gyro, fries, and drink meal is $8.99… but two single gyros in the special are $16.99. Whose winning here, because it’s not the customer. The gyro itself was decent, but I would have liked some actual tomato slices. I had some tomato shavings. Perhaps it was just an off night, but when you’re forking out money for these different up charges, like the 5 extra dollars I paid for hot peppers and gyro sauce, then you want your money’s worth. It’s starting to be more economically smart to eat at a sit-down dine-in then run through these fast food lines.

Food is great! BUT this place needs some work as far as customer service goes and somehow has a green check by the health department. The bathrooms are seriously horrible, they’re the most filthy, dirty, and disgusting bathrooms I’ve ever seen. The lobby is also nasty, the tables and walls are gross and sticky, and the floor is also sticky even though they’re always mopping it (can’t explain that, but it’s a reoccurring event). If it’s this dirty on the outside, what does it look like on the kitchen side? On top of all this though, the service is horrible! Literally taking my order was impossible to them! When we asked if we could get additional tomatoes and pay for them, they were annoyed by such a question and responded very harshly. It pains me to write a review like this as their food is great, but man, they gotta and can do better. :/
