Dropped by Waldo’s for lunch and was genuinely impressed. The Bluebird Chopped Salad featured perfectly shredded rotisserie chicken, tangy blue cheese crumbles, crunchy pecans, and bacon all in a creamy blue cheese vinaigrette that tied everything together beautifully. The Scratch Salad was equally excellent—fresh, crisp garden greens, juicy chicken, sharp cheddar, croutons, and that classic buttermilk ranch; it felt hearty yet balanced.
Both salads came with their signature cheddar biscuits—flaky, cheesy, and just the right warm finish to the meal. Portions were generous, the flavors were well layered, and the ambiance (especially on the patio) was relaxed and friendly. Highly recommended for a tasty, satisfying lunch that’ll keep you coming back.

Super friendly staff. Helpful and easy going. Very fast food delivery. Lots of bar seats. Lots of outdoor seating as well as outdoor bar seating.
The chicken tenders are not the biggest but they are juicy, taste good and priced appropriately.
The biscuit appetizer was very delicious and the sweet butter they come with was also a delight. They are sweet biscuits not like those savory ones from cheddar bay (iykyk).
House cut fries were not for me. They were cooked well and nicely seasoned, but they were a bit limp and far too skinny for my preference. If you like a skinny pile of fries, these are for you.
The quarter fried chicken has a good simple salt n pepper seasoning that while tasting good was difficult to pull free of the bone short of having to eat it like a cave man.
Bright and flavorful tomato, cucumber and onion side was also a big winner.
The white bean side was also quite good. Almost like Lima beans had a baby with black eyed peas.
The white BBQ sauce was uncharacteristically spicy for a white BBQ but still had good flavor.
The lemonade had a good mix of tangy and sweet.
All in all, I had a great visit and will go back, just not on a Friday night . Too many kids and the parking was quite abysmal even considering the parking lot was a good size. The draft beer selection was… adequate, but not overly impressive considering it’s literally in the name of the place. It was a great value though with surprisingly reasonable prices.

First timer at Waldo’s. Great location and clean facility. Food was delicious except for the fries. We picked up the order and got home the fries were a bit burnt. Otherwise, wings, tenders, and sandwiches were great.

The food was delicious. I love the chicken variety. They not only have chicken fingers. They have chicken sandwiches as well. The service was great. The staff was professional and kind. The ambiance was natural. It was tailored to to the rock and rock and roll icons. It was great to go down memory lane. I will be back to try more.

Great fried chicken joint with scratch-made sides! Thus location at least was large and open; part brewery, part gastropub, part fast food, with a lovely patio. Went for lunch on a Saturday and they were busy, but not packed, and our food was ready very quickly.
Ordered a Fowl Mouth sandwich w/ fries and a chicken tender plate w/ fries and macaroni & cheese, plus Comeback and Rooster Sauces for dipping. All were fantastic! Only critique is that their sandwiches use a boneless thigh, so it was a but thin in places, but the flavor was great and it was all high quality.

I wanted to enjoy this so bad but it was kinda hard when the food kept taking me out of the environment, service wasn’t great and there were little flies flying around and landing on our food. State of chicken was ehh

A first timer at Waldo’s and this was by far one of the best spots in the Birmingham area. The staff were also amazing and attentive. The manager was also very kind and patient while ordering. Very helpful! I would definitely recommend this spot to everyone. The food was 10/10!

I first wanna say the fact that this place is walking distance to me now is an everything! This was actually my third time coming to this restaurant , but first time coming to this location. Keylah made my day. I ordered a basic sandwich and macaroni. I asked her what is something on the menu I should try and she said the collard greens…….. Well little did I know these would be the best collard greens I’ve had in Birmingham since I’ve moved here. She was nice enough to give me a sample, and it literally rocked my world. Kudos for her for giving me exceptional customer service, and kudos to Waldos for making good food at a reasonable price.

Waldo’s has some really GOOD banana pudding! What’s equally good is their customer service! I had a to go order that had something missing. I called the restaurant to let them know and management was very apologetic and went above and beyond to make it right! In this day and age of poor service, I am grateful that there are some establishments that still value their customers! My family and I will definitely be back soon!
