At our Brooksville, FL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The food didn’t last long enough for me to take a picture. I haven’t had Captain D’s in forever because there are very few restaurants around, I happen to be in the area and I had to have some Captain D’s. The food was delicious, hot and friendly fast customer service.

Hands down the nicest Captain D’s restaurant we’ve ever visited! They have the nicest staff ever and the facility was spotless. The Fish and Shrimp were great ! I can’t say enough good things about this place. We eat out a lot and usually spend a lot more money but I am rarely as pleased as I was here!! Thanks !

The spicy fish hush puppies fries and Mac n cheese delicious. The shrimp and broccoli and corn were plain with little to no flavor.the meal over all was very filling I would definitely eat there again. Lisa the woman at the register was very kind and outgoing and a great upseller .

Just wanted a quick snack through the drive thru. Ordered hush puppies and a side of okra.
I’m not sure whoever was in front of me ordered or not. I never saw food leave out the window I only know I sat behind them for about ten minutes. I started to back out and leave and they suddenly left to come back around. Meanwhile I’m getting what I ordered and I mentioned the wait time and I hoped my okra wasn’t cold. She lied and said she just pulled it up. It was Luke warm and mush at best. It cost me 5 bucks for 35 pieces of okra and 1.99 for the 5 pups. The pups were good the okra sucked. The service sucked. How this restaurant stays in business is a mystery or is it. Rarely any customers there. I can see why.
I will say anytime I’ve gone inside the experience is better. The drive thru is never pleasant. I wouldn’t recommend capt D’s to anyone.

I went today to Captain D’s for the first time. I really like the food as Long John silver’s expecting something like that. Unfortunately I was disappointed. I ordered fish and chicken with french fries and macaroni and cheese. I did not like the flavor of the chicken or the fish. The macaroni and cheese had a strange consistency way too soggy. Also since it was the first time I was there I was told the meals come with two sides. And I can choose from anything on the list that was presented. Unfortunately I found out that some items on the list heading up charge but was not told this before ordering. If I was told this I would have not ordered. The total came out for $30 for two people. Very expensive for some standard quality food. I do not recommend.

I don’t came up to this place and they charged me four dollars for two drinks out of the meals. I got I’ve never been to where I had to pay for in a drink outside of a meal no complain because I already ordered food and I had to pay for it anyways, but that is so petty with all these fast food restaurants around them you can get a drink with a meal.
