The ribs are absolutely amazing with the mount Nittany BBQ sauce! I would highly recommend all my friends and family to come here if your craving good BBQ. Its a bit pricey but a 100% worth it. The staff was very friendly as well and the facility was super clean. Over all 10/10

Their brisket was fine but the ribs were terrible! This has gotta be the driest ribs I’ve ever had! It tasted like chicken breast.

This was our first time there and will be our last. I order the 3 tacos the brisket one was so over cooked I could not eat it. My husband got the chicken sandwich which was cold in the middle and my daughter got the loaded fries it seem the fries were sitting under there warm lamp way to long. I can’t believe how horrible the brisket was. Never again.

Good portions, brisket was good but a bit dry. I definitely recommend the macncheese and baked beans. Service was good and place was clean and comfortable.

I hate doing this to small businesses but this was our first and last time here. Food was absolutely disgusting. The meat tasted old and was extremely dry. The pork had a weird taste like it was spoiled. The Mac and cheese was watery. Definitely do not recommend

Food was really good. I had gotten a pulled pork sandwich. My gf got the mac and cheese bowl with brisket. Very good food. Would rate it a 9/10. They would get an extra point if the soda machine syrup didn’t need changed. Mens room needed cleaned as well. Overall good experience.

Good BBQ spot! We had the beef brisket & pork sandwiches. They offered different sauces and each sandwich came with coleslaw and a pickle.Staff was very nice and came by our table a couple times to ensure everything was okay. It was a great place for lunch!

Super disappointed in the food. Brisket was so dry and lacked flavor, sausage and coleslaw lacked flavor. Even the fountain drinks had an of flavor. Worst bbq I’ve ever had. I ended up throwing most the food away. It’s like there is no pride in it anymore just a money grab attempt.

It was my first time to the Prospecters, Mt. Nittany Rib Company and WOW…..where do I begin!

I decided to go with the Ribs, and I wasn’t disappointed at all! They were by far the greatest ribs I’ve had in recent memory.

The ribs had plenty of meat on them (the most of any ribs I’ve ever had) and I also got a side of the fresh cut fries (also excellent ) and it also came with a piece of good cornbread too.

The total game changer was the selection of BBQ sauces they had available!! So many great flavors, but they were all stellar!

The staff was excellent, friendly and delivered the food to your table with a smile.

Nice and clean, comfy booths and top notch BBQ….what more could you want!?

I will DEFINITELY be back…hopefully very soon!

Are you prospecting for good barbecue for dinner? Prospect elsewhere!

Their ribs I had on a few days ago on a visit here in the afternoon were dried out and also not very tender, like they were rushed off the cue at too high of a temperature. The cole slaw was swimming in its mayonnaise-based dressing. Their food has gone down hill compared to when I have stopped in for lunch in the past. The brisket is decent.

They have really weak sauce hours, especially for football game day Saturdays. They advertise being open until 8pm, but on a recent visit their doors were locked up tight at 7:31PM, and they wouldn’t open them for me to make a takeout order of whatever they had left. Just 3 or 4 staff standing around inside staring out the front window (see my photo & video for proof) and one of them vacuuming. Why not list that you actually close up for business at 7:30PM? It’s sort of a confusing situation to list your business hours that way in google maps.
