I have been coming here for over 20 years. Affordable sandwiches, delicious breakfast burritos, generous portions, friendly local owners. May this sandwich shop prosper for decades more.

5 enthusiastic stars for quality, consistency, prices. Years since I’ve been there and was not at all disappointed upon my return. It happened to be Friday so I was oh so ready for the Calamari special. In line listening to others it seems this sandwich is well known with folks lining up all talking calamari and hoping it wouldn’t run out before getting to the counter. Inside it doesn’t look like anything has changed since I first wandered into this neighborhood place. Like a dive bar for sandwiches. Prices and portions are kinda ridiculous for this day and age, especially on Monterey peninsula. $9 calamari sandwich is thick steak meat like abalone. Lettuce tomato and tartar round it out on the same soft seedy bun I remember. So glad to have made it back and am already thinking about next time. That turkey club…. Drool with the bacon. Seriously. But don’t tell anyone any of this cause I don’t want to have to wait in a longer line next time 😉

Hole in the wall and out if the way sandwich shop. Small place with only fridges and a counter inside. Only one bench outside to sit. Menu is small but features classics as well as specials. I choose one of the David’s Special which tasted like a meatball sub but with sliced beef. They have assorted chips and drinks as well.

Food came out quick, but lacked flavor and quality. I wish the bread came toasted.

We went for a breakfast sandwich and it was delicious. One of the best I’ve had on the peninsula. The service was great! Definitely making Randy’s one of my local favorites.

Yep, ask the locals, they all know Randy’s place, that’s what I did and wasn’t disappointed. It’s just a tiny little place that has great sandwiches and excellent prices. I was pleasantly surprise to get a “real” NY style pile of meat made perfectly. Grab a bag of chips a drink order your sandwich and then move along… next person please, that’s their style. I dropped a pin on this place… I’ll def be back

If I could put negative stars on food, service , and atmosphere I would. The service member that works the front of the store had an attitude for no reason, it was my family’s first time there and her attitude would have been ignored if our sandwiches had all the meat that was advertised. My husband and I both got the hoagie which comes with 3 meats. We both only got one meat. Very disappointing and the sandwich was mainly bread that didn’t even taste good. The pickle which was a pickle spear was the best part of the sandwich. I definitely do NOT recommend this place! You would be better off going to Jack in the box! Honestly!

First time trying their sandwiches. I ordered a pastrami with mustard and pickles only. What I got was questionable pastrami, another type of cold cut (ham?) an obscene amount of mustard and pickles. It was supposed to be hot. It wasn’t! It was inedible. That much mustard is just ridiculous. I won’t ever return.

Awesome sandwich, carefully wrapped with deli paper and not skimping on portions. I will be back.

My aunt and uncle own this spot, and let me tell you they didn’t just open a sandwich shop, they opened a hug in food form. The sandwiches are stacked, the flavors hit just right, and everything feels like it was made by people who genuinely care (because, well, they do). It’s the kind of place where you leave full, happy, and lowkey wondering if you can be adopted into the family. Monterey, you’re lucky. Real lucky.
