Superb food and service. The atmosphere is relaxed elegant, the menu interesting. Best calamari I have ever had. Good mix of light and hearty choices. Very enjoyable. If you like top quality beef, try the burger..it was first rate.

Our family of four loved everything! We appreciate the staff changing and updating our reservation due to the snow storm. The food and drinks were absolutely delicious and amazing! Both of our daughters enjoyed their mocktails. The oysters were just perfect and everything was seasoned just right! Such a wonderful family meal together. Thank you so much!

A little culinary gem located in the picturesque New Hampshire town of Walpole, next to Burdicks Chocolates. The food was very good and service friendly and professional. We had the bone morrow and poached pear with goat cheese as an appetizer. Both were fantastic. For lunch we had roast chicken, Branzino, and hanger steak. They don’t have any truly adventurous menu offerings, but what they do make they execute masterfully. For dessert we hopped next door for some take out cakes that were phenomenal. Well worth a visit and if you are in the area don’t miss stopping here.

March 2025: we have been coming to Burdicks for 16 years, always loved this restaurant. Today’s dinner did not quite live up to our expectations. The French onion soup was still excellent, however other choices were were a bit disappointing. The duck cassolet was very bland, especially the beans. The duck was not crispy. The trout was dry. The salads were generous, but the blend of flavors could have been better. The service was excellent.

April 2023: we are back for another excellent meal: lobster bisque and broiled octopus. Octopus looked spectacular, but the flavor was somewhat bland. The bisque was very good. There are outdoor tables. Very pleasant and great food. The service is excellent.
June 2022: another outstanding dinner on burdick’s out door patio. Smoked muscle’s soup was incredible. Scallops were very good with interesting and complex sides. NH oysters were very good as well.

September 2021:outside dining setup is lovely, a very pleasant experience. The muscles were good. Steak frite was good, although slightly overcooked for medium rare, it came as medium. The duck rugout flavor was goid, but the amount of duck was disappointing. There were only four micro pieces (the size of my thumb knuckle) of duck. This was probably the least memorable meal of the large number of dinners we had here.

May 2021: they added a lovely tent with six tables in addition to the tables under the overhang. Good option for safe outdoor dining.
This is the best food I had in over a year. Just as good as before the pandemic.
2019:
Consistently good food, attentive service.
Update 2018: again, wonderful experience. The chef has been here for 13 years, and we ‘ve been coming here for about 10.

Burdick’s is a quaint little bistro in Walpole, New Hampshire offering a delicious menu and wine list. I had the gnocchi with artichoke and spinach minus the feta and it was so delicious. My mom ordered the duck ragu with papadelle. I tried some of her pasta dish and it was very flavorful. Thank you to the chef for an exquisite meal. The manager, Mr. Gian Luca Paris was a tremendous delight in making sure we had a great dinner. I noticed he visited each table ensuring his guests were enjoying a fine meal. If you are in the area, it is worth the visit. The red wine we shared was so phenomenal. Enjoy!

A lovely spot for lunch, tho’ it was over air conditioned. The burrata and heirloom tomatoes salad was both top notch and generous and gorgeous (sorry did not take a photo). I also enjoyed the generous portion of house truffled sausage and gnocchi. Service was attentive. We will be back!

4.5 stars. Burdick’s has long been our favorite for special occasions, but some things were off at a recent holiday dinner. Service was attentive but slow, understaffed for a Saturday night. Oysters, onion soup, and desserts were outstanding, but mains were just okay. My oven roasted chicken, atop mashed potatoes and covered with potato strings, was tasty but a bit silly, like KFC on steroids. There was overall a lack of vegetables and color. Note on cost: a glance at the menu reveals that the per-person price of a meal with a glass of wine is in the $30‐50 range, $50-100 with appetizers and dessert.

So….. To start, my wife ordered me the Bistro Burger. Which comes with caramelized onions, lettuce, tomato, onion and bacon. None of these things came on the 20 dollar burger. It would have been okay and not the end of the world if I could actually eat the burger itself. It wasn’t just undercooked, it was completely raw. I don’t want to get food poisoning from not eating food that’s cooked properly. Secondly, My daughter’s chicken tenders were kind of just haphazardly tossed into the box along with some juicy pickles which created quite the soupy concoction in the by the time I got home. Needless to say they went to the dog. My wife ordered the Nashville Hot buttermilk chicken sandwich. Upon further inspection, it may or may not be chicken. It somewhat resembles old pork. The bottom bun was soaked in hot sauce so she couldn’t eat the sandwich. So for the grand total of $77 we received a meal that was both inedible and borders on questionable food safety. If you want a burger just go down the road to The Hungry Diner. Very disappointed and very hungry thanks to The Restaurant at BurDicks.

For the price the food was bang average. Edible, not bad enough to send back, but not $50 a person good. Frequently forgot to bring people drinks they ordered. Medium burger came out medium well.
