Made the Right Way. Every Day. There’s a reason our bagels taste different–they’re made the traditional way. At Manhattan Bagel, we give each bagel a dip in a kettle of boiling water, then bake them fresh each morning. That’s how we get our authentic shiny bagels with a crispy, golden crust on the outside and that soft, satisfying chew inside. No shortcuts. Just real, authentic bagels made the way they were always meant to be. We kettle-boil our bagels to lock in that shine and crunch, then bake them fresh daily for a chewy, golden bite. No shortcuts, just the classic NY method – done right, right here, every day.

Counter-serve chain specializing in NYC-style bagels & coffee, plus salads, soups & sandwiches.

Bagels were so disappointing from this Bayonne location. They tasted like store bought, stale bagels, and barely had seasoning. I also ordered hash browns which came with pieces of bacon on them, which I cannot eat. Stay far away from this location. Nothing like the other Manhattan bagel locations.

I went to Manhattan Bagel with my mom and sisters. My sister got a Ham and Swiss sandwich with coleslaw and pickle. My mom got a Chicken Salad and my older sister got a Manhattan Cheesesteak with coleslaw and pickle. I got a Manhattan Cheesesteak with two Hash Browns. We all enjoyed our lunch and the service. Plus, the restaurant overall was cleaned. Definitely plan to revisit when I am in the area.

Freshly squeezed OJ was great! But it ends there. Unfortunately, the bagels didn’t live up to the “fresh-baked” promise. All of them were soft, almost rubbery chew closer to day-old bread than the crisp exterior and airy crumb you expect from a true fresh bagel. Keepy in mind this was at 8:30AM. At the current price point (insane) that quality gap feels significant.

A good pit stop place for a bagel and coffee. Prices are not too shabby & they have a variety of bagels.
They took a decent amount of time to hand us our food.
Not sure about the other reviews but the staff was nice to us on our visit. We stopped around 9:30am.

My first and only New York bagel experience on a recent trip to the area. Despite the bad reviews I was NOT disappointed. The bagels were the freshest I’ve ever had. I come from a place where you MUST toast bagels to make them remotely enjoyable so this was quite the welcome experience for my family. The humble bacon, egg and cheese on a sesame bagel was DIVINE. The everything was EVERYTHING. The service was fine and the atmosphere was diner-like but I didn’t come here expecting 5 stars. I came for fresh bagels and that’s what I got.

I had high hopes for this bagel place, but my experience was disappointing to say the least. While the bagels themselves are decent, the prices are absurdly high—especially given what you get. I ordered two lox bagels at $15 each, only to find the most pathetic sliver of salmon I have ever seen on both. One sliver of salmon per bagel? That’s not just stingy; it’s insulting, especially in New Jersey, where a proper lox bagel is a staple.

At these prices, I expected a sandwich worth the cost, but what I got felt like a rip-off. Suffice it to say, I won’t be coming back. There are far better options around where you actually get what you pay for. Don’t waste your time or money here.

From the employees going to the bathroom two at a time clearly hear the flushing and not washing their hands. Clean factor that after theses employees used the bathroom decided to touch all the inventory with bare hands. Food for almost 30 bucks with tip for two people. Quality of the food was horrible. Noticed after eating the cook was touching meat uncooked then touching the cooked order as they multitasking and cross contamination began. Last but not least we both had snapple teas and they were a few months expired.I let the manager know that they were expired ohhh okay not really surprised look in his face. DONT EAT HERE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I order a hot turkey and Swiss with lettuce and tomato for pick up. This is the sad excuse for a sandwich I received. There was literally 2 slices of turkey per half. There was more lettuce than anything. And to top it off the service horrible. The lady at counter didn’t say a word just rang me up and that’s it. Which I’m ok with but $12 for a lettuce and cheese sandwich?

I ordered avocado toast and small coffee then asking for a receipt and the lady said in the cashier: Only that order and you’re asking for a receipt? What a rude replied! They didn’t give me any receipt at all. And this is their Avocado toast! Super chunky it’s just like putting the whole avocado in my bagel without mashing it. I’m not happy with it! And will not come back….
