️ Yesterday I had some amazing food at Chef Daddy’s in Chicago and whew… every bite was a blessing!
From the flavor, to the portions, to that real comfort-food love — everything was on point.
This is the kind of food that feeds your soul, not just your stomach.
If you’re in the city and craving something real, this is the spot!

Would be nice if there was a separate pick up window for online orders. Other than that I was really pleased with the level of service. The young woman at the register is very personable, and the Kitchen staff is very friendly. Almost forgot to mention how delicious the food was. Smothered pork chops dressing with gravy and greens were amazing!

I saw this place on Facebook and they were famous for the chitterlings. I order spaghetti Mac and cheese & chitterlings. To me which is my opinion none of the food was season or have any flavor. Mac and cheese were hard and dry. Spaghetti was ok and was the best I had on my plate. The chitterlings didn’t have any taste and I didn’t like the texture of the chitterlings. The other food that was on display didn’t look good as well. Remember this is just my opinion. It was not worth my $40

I came for the chitlins and I was not disappointed! our cook Tin made the food that tasted just like my mother’s and grandmother’s did! Alicia treated us like. We visited on a hot summer day restaurant air-conditioned so that was a bit sub-optimal. Overall it was worth the hour drive. They have some good homemade soul food!

Food was so good and I even got to try some samples! The beans with okra was unique and delicious, and pork chop was fried well – will be back to try more!

I’m from Mississippi and it’s hard to get a taste of home away from home unless you cook it yourself. But Ed the chef definitely gave me Mississippi in Chicago. Also the hostess/cashier is so nice. I recommend this place to any one that’s wanting good authentic Southern Soul Food! They will be seeing me again.

If I could leave a smaller rating I would . I ordered from too good to go. He made the plates in front of me and when I got home I started eating just to realize there was a dead fly in my food. I am so disgusted, and I pray I don’t get sick from whatever else may be in this food.

I ordered the chitterling dinner with greens and yams. OMG, I almost hurt myself… Everything was soooo good!!! The price was a bit steep, but it was well worth it.
