I was craving jerk chicken. Found this place. OMG!!!! It’s amazing. The large portion of jerk chicken, peas and rice, cabbage and cornbread was humongous. The chicken was juicy and flavorful. The peas and rice to die for. And then decided to try their Oxtail…off the hook greatness.i can’t stop eating both dishes. Their portions are generous. The cabbage was ok, perhaps that’s how it’s meant to be to offset the jerk. Found it a slight greasy, but still very yummy. The cornbread was moist and tender and flavorful. It was fantastic for those that like sweet cornbread, (me, not so much) but I’ll still give them a 10 on that. The beef patties were delicious. Flacky dough, great flavorful filling, not greasy at all. The service was impeccable! Sweet lady, very friendly. It was take out so she actually opened the Styrofoam boxes to show me before she bagged them. Very impressive and love that detail. Nothing like it unless you are in Jamaica. (Yes, I’ve been) Great food.I’ll be back. I highly recommend it. Thank you for an amazing dinner.

I can’t believe I’ve lived in Sanford for almost 2 years and only just discovered Montego Bay Caribbean Takeout. Hands down, one of the BEST meals I’ve had in Central Florida. I ordered the jerk chicken and oxtail, and both were absolutely incredible—tender, flavorful, and packed with authentic island spices that had me scraping every last bite.
What made the experience even better were the owners—Uncle and Auntie were so kind, welcoming, and genuinely warm. You can feel the love they put into both their food and hospitality. It felt like I was visiting family, not just picking up takeout.
If you’re in Sanford or even nearby, do yourself a favor and check this place out. Support local, support authentic—this is the real deal. I’m already planning my next visit. Montego Bay has earned a lifelong customer.

I’ve been coming to this place since 2013 and the food never misses ! Best Caribbean food I’ve ever tasted !!! I’ve tried other places but they don’t even come close , this place right here always gets it right ! Other then the flavor , the portions are a good size as well .

Since moving to Sanford I’ve tried literally every Caribbean takeout restaurant or meal there is in the area and Montego Bay is By Far THE BEST around. I’d say the Best in all of Orlando, honestly. And I’ve tried A Lot of spots. Not only are they the most affordable I’ve found in Central Florida, their food tastes the best too! No Cap. And it’s Consistent. I get the jerk chicken everytime and I’ve Never had a bad plate or poor experience here. The family is friendly and the environment is always clean. The Food is made to order so you may wait a few minutes for your order but it’s worth it. Their Food Hits Every Time. They have a small dining area to eat and you can call ahead to place your order too. Plenty of parking in plaza as well. Try this spot and thank me later You will not be disappointed!! (LOL this is not an ad – this place just That GOOD)

The jerk chicken with rice and plantains and Mac and cheese was so delicious! Jerk chicken was tender and juicy and fell right off the bone. Rice was tasty even for it being white rice and Mac and cheese was phenomenal! Definitely coming back here again.

Door say they open at 11:30am but it’s more like they open when they want to so don’t go there thinking you can pick up lunch on time you will waste most of your lunch time waiting outside. The patties are really good, the food is a little bland but ok. Not authentic but watered down for the American palette. All and all a solid 3. Mid at best but those patties are a 10.
