Black Jack’s Rum Bar & Grill was a good find. We arrived on a cold night and it was a bit too cold to relax inside. The server was very pleasant but unable to answer several questions. I actually had to get up and walk to the bar to get a few questions about happy hour and drinks from the bartender. Overall our group was happy with the place and the food. Happy hour specials were good and wine choices were pretty good. A few of our group ordered the prime rib and loved it. We were told they offer prime rib specials on Wednesdays so we will likely return. I ordered a fish sandwich that I did not love but the rest of the group were good with their choices. The happy hour appetizers were also small and bite size but very tasty and we would order those again as well. I think I would like to try the Flagler location too. Thanks for a good night.

Had an amazing time at this restaurant! I couldn’t believe it wasn’t packed, it’s fairly new and truly a hidden gem. I had the jerk chicken sandwich, and it was absolutely incredible. The location is perfect for watching football, with plenty of screens and both indoor and outdoor seating options.
If you get the chance to have Larry as your server, you’re in for a real treat! His humor and great service made our visit even better and added to the overall experience. I’ll definitely be returning and recommending this place to everyone!

My husband and I decided to try this place last night after hearing some good reviews online. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. First, the parking situation is ridiculous. There is paid parking across the street but it’s full of rocks as if they didn’t finish construction. We decided to try the parking garage next door which did not have any visible signs on how much it was. My husband pushed the button for a ticket but it didn’t work. The bar was up so we assumed it’s free for customers. When we returned to our car and tried to drive out, the bar was down and it asked for a ticket to be inserted. . We didn’t have one because it didn’t give us one so he pushed the help button since no one was around to help in person. That didn’t work so we clicked on lost ticket. The machine then asked for $20 and since we were stuck we were forced to pay $20 just for parking a little over an hour!
Regarding the restaurant, the atmosphere and wait staff were ok. We decided to go with the recommendations and had calamari, wings and fish & chips along with a couple of drinks. The calamari tasted ok, the wings were pretty salty. The fish tasted good and the chips ok. Not impressed with drinks unfortunately. The bill was over $100 including tip. Soon after we got home, within less than an hour we both got a VERY bad case of food poisoning all night and even today we are both still sick. Been debating going to the hospital and had to cancel plans. Leftovers are in the garbage. Threw away $100.

The steak fries are actually so good! I’m usually not a fan, but these are crispy, well-seasoned, and delicious.
Service has been excellent both times, we had Isa as our server. She is very nice and attentive! Very welcoming too 🙂
Really nice ambiance, great happy hour deals, and an ideal spot for watching sports. Plenty of indoor TVs and a huge outdoor projector for outdoor seating.

A little disappointed is being nice. Ate here for the first time last week and it was amazing, but today I can’t say that. Last week the front doors were broken they do not close on their own and today they are still broken on one of the coldest days since 2010. Second they have no heat on so it was freezing inside so much so that outside is warmer at 55° and in the bathroom the water in the sink feels like 30°. Which made it hard to enjoy food. And lastly my daughter ordered the lunch special appetizer platter and one of two conk fritters. Was raw inside. The server was nice and offered to have another one made but the problem is my daughter has autism and once something turns her off there’s no fixing it unfortunately. I don’t know how long they have been open I’ll have to look it up, if its new new maybe I’ll wait awhile to give time for owner to fix the problems. So not a total lost yet

This was our first time here. We almost didn’t go because on google they are listed as a bit pricey and the parking is paid parking. But google is wrong their prices are very fair and once you scan to park as long as your only there 2 hours you don’t have to pay ( at least the day and time we were there wed at 830). The food was very fresh and big portions and fantastic delicious and our server Mario M. was amazing. I am old fashion and like what i like but Mario M. Convinced me to try one of their most use sauces and I was not disappointed it was amazing. I got the fried fish sandwich and it was the best I’ve had in a very long time. It was a very big piece cooked perfectly and at first I was second guessing the breading until I tried it. It was perfect, just enough crip and favor but didn’t over take the fresh taste of the fish. My daughter order the choripan and was in love. Said it was very fresh and full of flavor the only thing it needed was a little kick of spice and the French fries was amazing loved the salty with a little bit of spices taste was also very fresh. It has a great atmosphere and very cozy and relaxing and clean. They do have daily specials which are amazing deals and huge portions. This is a must try and we will definitely be coming back.

Just a heads up parking is very, very difficult in the evening……as we sat down , The atmosphere was great and mellow because it was a Wednesday, it gives you what Bahamas breeze should be , a Caribbean theme restaurant with specific island dishes that actually look good . The service was great , dude was conservative, the food was great , I specially recommended the chicharrones , i won’t sugar coat it make the beans freshers because as a Cuban I could tell they been left out a while, the 2 for 1 shipwreck drink was fruity and pretty big size for a drink …. I will come back… for those happy specials
