Great breakfast spot in Madrona. It’s usually busy on the weekends, which says a lot. Family-owned and a true neighborhood favorite. The area is charming, with consignment shops just around the corner, making it a fun place to explore after eating. The coffee is excellent, the food is delicious, and the portions are generous. One of my favorite breakfast spots.

Just moved to Madrona and had breakfast here first two days.
Chorizo scramble recommended the first day and I went for the biscuit and gravy the second. Both were good.
This is a classier offering of B&G than I’m used to but I also didn’t feel like crap after eating it.
The server I had both days (Izzy on the check) is wonderful and made me feel welcomed to the neighborhood.
Only criticism I have is the matcha wasn’t dissolved into my Matcha Latte the first morning. I thought it was odd that it was ready in a matter of seconds, then found huge clumps of matcha at the bottom of my glass.
Drip coffee good and plentiful. Will be a regular.

Food was fine, but service was perfunctory and disappointing. Place was not particularly busy, but I was given what felt like the penalty box table, in spite of other two-person tables appearing to be available. Found myself side by side with swinging door that banged my elbow when staff came out, and made me privy to all the conversation and Top-40 music playing at the dishwasher station.
After server brought my food, didn’t check back on me until they brought the check, at which point I had to ask for a water refill. I had been planning on finishing the meal with coffee, but decided I wouldn’t bother.
Ambience elsewhere in the dining room seemed lovely, though.

Fantastic old building. Charming, quaint and chock full of great people that work there. Food was prompt and the service was much more friendly than I am used to in Seattle. Great for coffee dates, breakfast and families.

We got the salmon omlette, corned hash beef & bacon. Everything tasted great & good service too. Especially thick cut bacon which is hard to find in many diners!
The only thing that sucks a bit is there can be a bit of wait but not way to check your position in the line so you gotta keep coming in and checking.

Thoroughly enjoyed my meal. Portion sizes were very generous. Customer service was okay. The restaurant has a very cozy vibe with a coffee shop downstairs

Hi-Spot Cafe is an absolute gem. The breakfast is excellent—hearty, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The whole place has a cozy, charming vibe that makes you feel like you’re enjoying breakfast at your grandparents’ house out in the countryside. There’s a genuine charisma to the space that’s hard to find these days. A little cleanup and some light maintenance would really make it shine and push it to a 5-star experience. Still, it’s a spot I’d happily return to.

Interesting as when you walk in it doesnt look like a big restaurant. It’s just a cafe at the entrance.
Turns out there’s an entire labyrinth of tables in the back.
Food is good, fresh ingredients. I ordered the French toast which had real fruit and maple syrup.
Americano was awesome! Service was great! I’d go back or if you’re in the area make the trip!

A unique spot for breakfast and brunch which we really enjoyed. The food we had was absolutely delicious – we tried the breakfast tacos and the corned beef hash which were amazing. The staff were super friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Clearly a popular spot so we had to wait a little for a table but well worth the wait!

Always love coming here! Enthusiastic staff, interesting menu, delicious lattés, hearty breakfast with some unusual options like curry or pesto, warm setting in a converted residential home.
