The bb.q in our name stands for Best of the Best Quality, and that’s exactly what you can expect from every one of our restaurants. Our Korean fried chicken is crispier, juicier, and more tender than anything you’ve tasted before, and our sauces provide an eclectic mix of flavor. Every dish is the result of both longstanding Korean tradition and modern research and development from our very own Chicken University. It’s a tremendous amount of work, but it’s all worth it when you take that first bite.

What an amazing Korean fried chicken place. The service was really amazing! Our server really helped us in explaining the menu and go over everything. she went out of her way above and beyond to provide an amazing experience.

The pickled radishes were surprisingly amazing and if you eat one right after a piece of chicken it compliments the flavor.

The coleslaw was also really good in rivals. American type coleslaw

Obviously the star of the show was a fried chicken. We got three different types. Spicy galbi, gangnum style, and gangjeong. My absolute favorite was the Gangnam style. I’m still thinking about it today.

One thing I really like about this place versus the other “best Korean friend chicken” place in Alpharetta is that this place allows you and gives you the option to order smaller batches (10 pieces) so that you can mix and match with different flavors. I really like this flexibility as I can try multiple different flavors instead of having commit to one flavor. Good job guys!

My wife got the bone-in chicken wings Galbi style, and they were DELICIOUS, HIGHLY RECOMMEND THOSE. I got the chicken sandwich, asked for extra pickles and when it came out, three tiny slivers of pickle were all that was on there, asked for more and the server seemed a bit confused as though those 3 tiny slices included the “extra pickles.” Still, very good sandwich, it was made with chicken thigh, not breast=more flavor! The radishes in vinegar are always a pleasure at any Korean spot, the coleslaw was thinly shredded which I prefer over the big-cut slaw. Service was kind but definitely not traditional waiting on customers. Food was VERY GOOD. The atmosphere gets the lowest rating here because it is very plain/generic with KPop girl singers on each of the televisions. If you’re a 14 year old girl who loves KPop (like my niece), then you might actually enjoy the atmosphere, but this 43-year-old male just can’t relate. That being said, the place is VERY CLEAN, which takes my original 1-star to a 2-star. In fact, there’s even a handwashing sink right there at the entrance/exit, a very awesome detail most restaurants should take up. And because of that, I am moving my atmosphere rating up to a 3-star. Will definitely go back if not for anything else, then for the Galbi style wings, I’m telling you, they were AMAZING.

Wow!! We have finally had the chance to check out bb.q Chicken Johns Creek and boy did it not disappoint! We came on a Thursday evening to pick up some chicken for a Christmas party and had the pleasure of eating a few wings and sides while there. The owner was there and man, what a friendly and welcoming vibe we got. We heard a little about their business practices and her story and were quite impressed. From using fresh oil, and not reusing oil over and over like a lot other competitors, in their cooking constantly, and using only the finest ingredients imported straight from Korea you could truly taste the quality in every bite of the chicken! The cooks are some of the best in the business and their management is top notch! That speaks highly of ownership and their ability to hire and keep high quality staff!
My mouth is drooling just thinking about the crispy, and fresh chicken and can’t wait to stop in again to enjoy some Chi-maek (Chicken and brewskies).

What stood out most was the flavor and quality of the Korean Fried Chicken and I can easily rank BB.Q Chicken Johns Creek among the very best in the state that we tried!
My very best wishes to the owner and staff and a big thank you for the excellent Korean Fried Chicken!
5 stars and two thumbs up for bb.q Chicken Johns Creek! It doesn’t get much better than this!

Absolutely love this place! They have THE BEST wings!! (It’s the only place I order a large just so I can have some for later because it’s still crispy and like 3-4 meals for me!!) That pickled radish, I think about it all the time! And that coleslaw! I am a coleslaw snob and they have THE BEST! It is even better than mine. Sadly, I didn’t get a picture of the the food because all I could think about is eating and having a mango beer. I’m not a drinker, but I can’t pass up a glass of their ice cold mango kart beer. the customer service, absolute best!!

Edit from 5 star to 3 star:
They don’t offer any way for one person to eat less than a whole chicken outside of lunch hours on weekends. I work weekends in this area in the evening, so while the lunch menu is great, it doesn’t do me any good in the evening when I am at work. It’s still 5 star quality chicken, but if they refuse to sell it to me unless I buy whole chickens for lunch, then it is useless to me, so 3 stars. The low service score is for the same reason. They offered a solution the last time I was here in offering the lunch menu all day, but then they took that away for weekends. I got my hopes up for nothing. The people are nice. It’s not the employees. It’s the owner who won’t allow people to buy less than a whole chicken for one person’s individual meal.

Original Review:
There is a bit of a wait, because it is all cooked to order, but the wait is reasonable and you are rewarded for your patience with chicken that has never seen a warming light. The food is 5 stars all day. I got the classic golden chicken first as a test, because chicken restaurants hide a lot of sins in sauce. This Korean fried chicken went beyond the expectations I had from other Korean fried chicken restaurants that I have visited. They were very crispy, but still very plump and juicy. Perfect fried chicken is usually cooked to an internal temp of 170-173 and I think that’swhat this was. It was loaded with classic fried chicken taste! I also enjoyed dipping some of the pieces in their secret sauce, which tastes like a light barbecue sauce with a pronounced apple taste. It was fun to go back and forth between the different flavors.

I also got So Ddeok So Ddeok (So Tteok So Tteok), which is 2 skewers of alternating small sausage (So) and rice cakes (Tteok) fried, then covered in that same apple-tasting secret sauce. This is one of my favorite items on the menu. It’s a great snack that I could make a meal out of if I am in a hurry. The chicken takes a while to eat, because it is so hot coming fresh out of the fryer, but the So Ddeok So Ddeok can be eaten right away and it’s basically meat and rice, so it is very substantial.

The Hot Spicy Mayo Rice Bowl is HOT! It is significantly hotter than what most American restaurants call hot. I like heat, but it’s not for everybody, so you should expect that when ordering it. That said, they didn’t just drown it in hot chili powder and call it a day. It has a legitimately good flavor balance and there is a variety of textures. The chicken flavor comes through and doesn’t get buried. The sweet and savory flavor of the Korean mayo complements the tangy sweet and slightly earthy chili sauce on the chicken. There is also a wide variety of textures from the crispy chicken, fluffy rice, fluffier creamy eggs, and the velvety mayo and sauce on top. If you don’t enjoy spice quite a bit, then I’m sure their teriyaki option is also good. I will try it later and edit my review. The rice bowl was roughly the size of a large ramen bowl. I didn’t think to put something next to it in the picture for scale, but it was very big and satisfying.

After the first time ordering dinner here, I was going to rate it 4 stars, because you could only order whole chickens cut into 16 pieces, or similar amounts of boneless chicken. They did not offer reasonable individual meals for my lunch break on the evening shift at work. The second time I came back they said they were going to offer their lunch menu all day and I got a chicken rice bowl!

For drinks, they sell individual sodas and juices and they have unlimited free ice water that tastes clean and cold. They might actually filter their water, which most restaurants don’t. The size of the meals here is designed for someone to be able to pick chicken up and bring it home for the family, but making the lunch menu available all day fixed the only thing that irritated me and brought my rating back up to 5 stars! I plan to be a regular here while I have clients in the area!

I’m not 100% on this place. My son wanted to try it, so I went to the website, thought we could try it, so I signed up for rewards and app. When we came in, we were seated then instructed to order and pay with QR code. I asked if I should order in the app so I would earn rewards and he wasn’t sure.
We were given the most amazing pickled radishes! I could eat them all day! We ordered the fried dumplings that tasted very fresh and perfectly fried.

Everything warned us the food would take at least 20 minutes to cook and it didn’t take that long. I ordered the honey garlic boneless chicken and thought I was spicier than I expected; not a garlic kind of spice, but like a chili heat. It’s not inedible, but not what I was looking for. My son got Gangjeong boneless and really enjoyed it. It has more of a kick than mine, but expected. I live the cinnamon in it. The batter on the chicken is very crispy even with the sauce. I didn’t like a strange, chewiness that I can’t identify. Maybe this is all very authentic, and I just am too unfamiliar with. It’s just too expensive for what you get.

It’s nicely done inside, but it’s paper “boats” and plastic forks. Forget about cutting anything. There aren’t any fountain drinks. They offer water, or you can buy cans or bottles of drinks. I can even somewhat understand the ordering system because maybe they also have staffing issues.

I doubt I will ever come back, but I’m sure my son will.

The chicken was absolutely delicious and I’d wager that they butcher the chicken on site before frying it. Took a bit for the chicken to come out, but it was absolutely worth it. I wish there was an option been 8 and 16 pieces of chicken.

Never been a huge fan of chicken but this chicken is the best I’ve ever had!! HANDS DOWN! You can tell they really take their time and put care into every dish. I’ve been many times and never been disappointed.

The restaurant is super clean, and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.

I got to meet the owner today Hye she’s absolutely amazing!!

Some of my favorite things on the menu are the honey garlic chicken, teriyaki chicken rice bowl, corn salad, sweet potato fries, and of course the coleslaw. You’re welcome in advance

This is definitely my go-to lunch spot and should be on everybody’s restaurant list!

PS best to call ahead or order online!!
