I love La Farine! Come here all the time. Ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday and it turned out spectacular! They decorated it so cute. Also love their fruit tarts. One of my favorite places.

It has been awhile since I last visited, but today I was instantly reminded of just how amazing this bakery is!
The staff are so so helpful and friendly. I took home two of their savory focaccia breads. Goat cheese, pine nuts, and green onion and kalamata olives and red onion. Warmed up in the toaster oven, they were perfection.
If you have never been here or haven’t been lately, you should rectify that immediately!

La Farine is a cute little bakery. They have a pretty solid selection of baked goods; both savory and sweet. If you happen to be in the neighborhood, you should absolutely pop in and grab a small pastry to snack on, or even a loaf of bread to take home with you.

Went to La Farine today to pick up some baked goods. The sales clerks were very patient and friendly. I couldn’t decide and they said, “take your time” which was great. There r just way too many yummy goodies here to choose from.. Cookie monster would have a blast amd never leave this place!!!There is seating inside as well as a several benches outside. There is street parking. Otherwise, there is a 4 hour free parking at 3408 Dimond Avenue Parking Lot that is around the corner from Peet’s Coffee.

Is it my imagination or have the loaves of bread shrunk in size? They seem very small. May be their way of not raising prices.
Has anyone else noticed?

I order a fruit tart every year for a Gatsby Summer Afternoon picnic. These are theeee most beautiful tarts ever. And they’re delicious. The coffee isn’t great but I can’t even deduct a star in good conscience because the pastries are so good.

I’m so glad the owners opened up this boulangerie on College Avenue. Wonderful breads and pastries, fresh coffee, and outstanding customer service take me across the Atlantic to the neighborhood cafes in Paris. Oaktown needs more stores like this. The owners live in Oakland, they have three shops in Oakland, they hire locals to work in their shops, they promote a “Buy Oakland” approach supporting other local businesses, and most importantly, they make good stuff! And it’s consistently good, visit after visit…in fact my waistline will attest to it! These stores are neighborhood jewels, and I’m so glad they’re here!
