At our Ozark, AL location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

Been eating here since my family moved to Ozark in 2010. For a while it was decent and then it dropped off and I did not eat there for a long while. My wife loves their fish and says it’s very good. I like their fish sandwiches. Tonight I stopped in and got 4 pieces of fish, fries and hush puppies very tasty. Seems they are back on it IMO.

Had an issue with an item tonight, but the manager made it right. 10/10 for the service and employees.
It is good advice to always check your items before leaving the restaurant if taking it to go (good advice for any restaurant, really), but if you have an issue, don’t be afraid to bring it up to the employees respectfully—they will treat you right.

Just stopped on my way back to Midland City. Waited over 10 minutes at the window. Ordered the supreme sampler and 4 extra shrimp.. got home was missing 2 chicken strips 10 shrimp and Mac and cheese.so $16 for 2 pieces of fish handful of fries and 2 cold hush puppies check your order people!!!!!

Not friendly, gave us the wrong sides, the wrong drinks. The wrong size of one of the drinks. No I’m sorry, thank you, anything else. Didn’t offer any specials or deserts. Don’t come very often and it will be even longer before I spend my money here.

We were there at 11:300 am, and got cold French fries! How is that even possible? The fish was great, but the disappointing fries at that time of the day has us perplexed! They were nice about it, and everyone working that day were friendly and gracious, making it difficult to report the cold French fries.

What can you say about Captain D’s it’s okay it’s not the best place in the world is not the worst place in the world is fish fast food that’s about all you can expect out of it it’s okay it’s not great it’s not bad sometimes the one in Ozark Alabama sucks the food wasn’t good the manager stunk and I will never buy anything else there at Captain D’s in Ozark Alabama

I stopped by at this Captain D’s to utilize their restroom. I decided to try their two piece fish and fries for $5.99 and I was indescribably pleased that they cooked everything fresh!! The lunch was cooked perfectly. No grease at all on the fish or French fries!! I do not mind waiting a few minutes for fresh fried foods. I am happy that I tried this restaurant for lunch today!!

Horrible food!! Not even sure what we were eating. Is it fish or is it chicken? Who knows.
It’s supposed to be fish! Was told our food was being cooked fresh. We pulled up to wait. (They were not busy at all) Called three different times to speak with someone at restaurant, noone would answer. Called an additional time, someone answered and hung up. Worst Captain D’s food I have ever eaten in my life… If I could leave 0 stars I would.

My macaroni is cold. The baked potato came with a giant potato and a miserable little spot of cheese and bacon. Do not come here. The dothan one is better. My fiance’s baked potato looks grody
