First time coming here and service was great. The food was really good, I got 5 lbs of crawfish and shrimp with the special Sammy sauce. Crawfish season is starting back up, please let’s give them some slack from the early season.

Absolutely DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE! Paid $60 something on DoorDash for 5 pound that comes with 2 corn and 2 potatoes which is advertised in store and online. First they didn’t put the corn or potatoes in then when I called to ask about it they told me if you order on DoorDash it doesn’t come with them. That makes no sense because it is advertised on door dash as 5 pounds with corn and potatoes but if I dine in I can get the corn and potato’s? That makes no damn sense, false advertising. Then to top it off the crawfish were COMPLETE MUSH, not one crawfish in the whole platter was edible, $60 something dollars all to waste literally. They should be ashamed of themselves and the business as a whole. I have never seen anything like this in my life, completely mush you can’t even eat the meat the meat peeled off with the tail, not cleaned properly, some of the crawfish had black bruises on them, snails and grass in it also. No refunds or anything. TERRIBLE BUSINESS DO NOT EAT HERE, THEY COULDNT PAY ME TO COME BACK!

I paid $88.77 for 6 pounds of crawfish, which I was fine with since it’s early in the season, but the quality was absolutely unacceptable. The crawfish were pure mush, many were extremely small—some no bigger than a fingernail and others barely an inch long. Several were filled with murky liquid and slime instead of meat, and the ones that did have meat were gray (the meat). They were filthy and packed with grass, clearly not cleaned properly. The sale was completely non-refundable, which was posted very clearly, but that does not excuse selling crawfish in this condition. We maybe ate 8 and threw the rest away because I was genuinely afraid of getting sick. As someone born and raised in Louisiana, I have never seen or tasted crawfish this bad. I WILL NOT BE BACK TO ANY SAMMYS LOCATION!!!

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at Sammy the Crawfish King today. We paid almost $100 for 6 lbs of crawfish and two drinks, and the quality was unacceptable.
The crawfish were extremely tiny—not even small—with only about 7 average-sized crawfish in the entire order. Many were smashed open, and when peeling them, each one had a different, concerning texture: slimy, disintegrated, or mushy. The colors were off as well, with various dull, rainbow-like hues, which immediately raised red flags.
Several crawfish were filled with murky liquid that poured out when opened, and some contained crawfish caviar that was chewy and unpleasant. Overall, they did not seem fresh at all.
Because of the poor quality and food safety concerns, I had to stop eating them entirely. This was not worth the price, and I would not recommend this place based on my experience.

Was driving on i20 towards Dallas, Tx. Looking for a local Cajun restaurant in Monroe, Louisiana. It was little bit far off the interstate but the food was definitely worthy! Amazing “small shrimp, sausage and potato”! Definitely recommend to anyone!

I would personally recommend this before any other seafood place in Monroe LA or West Monroe LA. Service is awesome and fast. The food is amazing I eat here every day. Waited 30 minutes for boiled shrimp and they were not cooked and had no seasoning. They placed them in water that looked liked it was there from the previous day…walked into building and there was not smell of seasoned food at all…ended up throwing away my shrimp and wasted my money

I’m a Cajun from South Louisiana, so it takes a lot for me to be impressed with a lot of food here, especially seafood. It was AWESOME! The workers were friendly and answered all my questions especially making sure that they didn’t use something I’m allergic to. Price and serving sizes were very good. Crawfish and sides were spiced sooo good! I absolutely will be back and recommend this to others.

Well the food had great tast to it but you couldn’t peel the crawfish and the crab legs. The shrimp were spot on. The girl working the cash register was very nice but the girl handing out the food was not very friendly.
