Pixie is an incredible Italian restaurant in the heart of Byron Bay, created by the same talented group behind Moonlight and Light Years. Their philosophy is all about fresh, vibrant, flavour driven food with a focus on house made pasta, quality local produce, and dishes that celebrate coastal Italian flavours in a modern, playful way.
We visited for the first time recently for Sunday early dinner and I loved it! Everything we ordered was unbelievably delicious; we started with freshly shucked oysters, warm house-made focaccia, anchovy toast, and half shell scallops. For our mains, we both ordered the house made spaghetti with prawns and WOW… it was the freshest pasta with the most incredible bisque sauce, so rich and full of flavour. We paired it with a Soave which was absolutely perfect with the seafood.
Our waitress Francesca was amazing!!! 10/10 service. Attentive, warm, not overbearing, and she recommended every dish we ended up loving. They also cater beautifully for everyone with vegan, gluten-free, and kids menus available.
We absolutely loved our experience here and will definitely be back. Highly recommend adding Pixie to your Byron dining list!

Lovely Italian restaurant in Jonson street precinct. The service was fantastic, as a sole diner having attentive inclusive service is more than 50% of success, and Pixie’s team was 6/5 from the moment I walked in to the moment I paid the bill.
The food is modern Italian and it is delicious; portions are clearly designed for sharing and are quite generous (especially for pastas).
For me this place is now a safe choice for a dinner when I am craving comfortable yet sophisticated Italian food.

Came to Pixies after going to Light Years 2 nights in a row (which was amazing). Pixies did not disappoint. This was our last meal of the trip and the best.

Ordered focaccia, the prawn pasta and sausage pasta – both pastas were underwhelming and tasted like a kids meal. Ended up dropping $100 on food that I couldn’t and wouldn’t finish (I wouldn’t have even fed it to my dog) I told the manager and he just said ok, didn’t even acknowledge the feedback nor try and change our experience for the better. Don’t recommend one bit.

Pixie is a must. After 10 visits to Byron and trying every new restaurant along the way, Pixie capture hospitality at its finest.
The food was elevated yet approachable, classics done well. Everything you’d expect to see on the menu, with. Few surprises.
The vibe was awesome, the music was killer and paired well with the warm interiors. We were so comfortable, and wish we had a house like this.
The service was friendly, professional but not forced. The team here clearly respect and care about giving their customers a wonderful experience, and showcasing the finest of Pixie.

We wanted to share some feedback about our experience at your restaurant.
First of all, the waitresses were very kind and professional. They were genuinely lovely with us, and we really appreciated their service.
However, we were very disappointed with the managers’ attitude, which felt quite rude and unwelcoming. We were asked to leave at 10pm even though the restaurant closes at 11pm, which we found disrespectful.
Regarding the food, the portions were quite small, the taste was not very impressive, and overall it felt overpriced for what it was. The quality did not match the price.
It’s a shame because the service from the waitresses was great. We hope this feedback will help improve the overall customer experience in the future.

A fabulous meal and great drinks. Every dish had something about it that gave it a special edge. Combined with sincere and attentive service, would definitely recommend.

Food was divine, service was outsanding we did not have a booking and they managed to squeezed us in at the bar which ended up being so great as we got to watch all the cocktails being made. The bartender engaged the kids with a cool mint trick. Make sure you harder the mussels.
