I went with a party of 3 adults and one child. We went in for a late lunch. 2 of us ordered the lunch special which is 2 tacos, chips and salsa and a medium fountain drink for $12. When we went there was ONE person working the whole restaurant- kitchen and front end. This caused a significant delay in service for the person who ordered ahead of us as my party had questions about allergens. The food portions were honestly disappointing. Most places do 3 tacos with rice and beans, the chips that came with the special were clearly not house made, and stale. The tacos had great taste but just portion wise were very disappointing. We had to go purchase 2 extra tacos and those were an additional $14 for 2 (small) hand sized tacos! I’m not sure if we’ll be going back. I would recommend going down the road to el patron instead honestly.

We finally made it to The Taco Shop and it absolutely lived up to the hype. My wife and I came in with our two younger sons, which is always the ultimate test of a restaurant (happy kids = win). From the moment we walked in, the vibe was welcoming and easy going with no stress, just good food and good people.
We ordered a mix of tacos and a chicken bowl, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The tacos were packed, perfectly seasoned, and gone faster than I could think about stealing a bite from my kids. The chicken bowl was hearty, balanced, and one of those meals that leaves you full but already planning your next visit.
Great food, friendly staff, and a spot that works just as well for families as it does for a quick, crave-worthy meal. If you’re in Burnt Hills and not stopping here, you’re doing tacos wrong.

The best fish tacos in the area, and shrimp tacos too! Food is fresh and delicious. Restaurant is clean and inviting. Staff is very courteous and the food came out quickly. I finally got to try the mango fish taco and it is my current favorite.

Tried the tacos on Taco Tuesday….loved my fish and shrimp tacos. The street corn taco lacked the char as described on menu and so flavor was simply corn—char would have added another level of flavor. Cashier was lovely though we later realized, according to the menu, that we should have been offered the option of corn vs flour tortillas but all tacos served with flour tortilla. I’d consider it again for easy meal if in that area.

Usually I have a great experience, I sat on posting this for a while. Teenage boys where running the store which usually is no issue. A boy with long curly hair was so rude. He seemed to be annoyed that I came in around 6 to get a bowl. As he rolled his eyes and made me wait to order, as he was in the back talking to another employee who told him to go take the order. I was very unhappy with the process. Now that was one thing but when I got not even what I asked for I was upset. I took it to go to eat at home and did not receive what I asked for. This was on a Friday

Listen to me. I have eaten a lot of tacos in my life. Gas station tacos. Fancy “chef’s kiss” tacos. Even the sad ones from the back of my freezer at 2 a.m. But NOTHING—and I mean nothing—prepared me for what happened inside this taco shop.
I took my first bite, and I swear I heard a mariachi band somewhere in the distance. My vision blurred. My knees gave out. A single tear rolled down my cheek as the tortilla whispered to my soul, “You are home now.”
The meat was seasoned so perfectly I briefly considered writing it into my will. The hot sauce? It didn’t just burn my tongue—it burned away all my sins.
If the owner of this place told me to join a taco cult, I’d be in the robe tomorrow. If these tacos ever disappear, so will my will to live.
I came for dinner. I left a changed person. God bless this taco shop.

First time trying for their lunch special! Customer service, top notch. Everything has so much flavor, from the tortillas to the guacamole.. & the meat??! Seasoned to perfection. Cannot wait to come back

First time ordering tonight for my son’s birthday because he really wanted to try this place. We got the three different tacos, a chicken burrito, and the burrito bowl. My husband really liked the tacos, he had a fish a pork and a beef, he says he liked the fish one the best, my son said that his burrito was just ok, ate 4 bites and he was done. It was a little bland, same complaints as mine with taste, he wished there was some veggies or sour cream, salt? It just is missing something important.
My burrito bowl was the most disappointing thing we got. First of all, I couldn’t tell if it was chicken or pork, I ordered chicken, it has a weird burnt taste and is very overcooked. The rice is severely overdone, clumpy and unseasoned, and super bland. It’s just rice. Nothing else, no corn, etc. There was this green sauce on top that was actually bitter and had a horrible aftertaste. I wish there were veggies, maybe a little bit of lettuce or onion, just needs something because it’s really heavy with all the beans, rice and chicken, and nothing in between. Sits in your stomach like a rock. I’m sorry to say, but your rice and beans really need some work. I unfortunately won’t be back, sorry. I really wanted to like it, especially because I go by this place multiple times a day.

First timer. CLEAN place with a nice layout and design elements. Friendly staff. GREAT tacos. Love that it is local for us. I didn’t care for the chips ( they added some kind of flavor?) but honestly, eat the tacos and you will be full. We’ll be back to try some other menu items.

American style taco. The shop is clean. Food prep for takeout is fast. Large size taco. Two tacos make a meal. We like baha fish, mango shrimp. Big piece of catfish and large shrimp, freshly fried. Shredded barbocoa beef is not impressive.
