I placed an order through Toast after finding this restaurant on Google, assuming it was for the same day. I had no idea they are closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, yet the system still allowed the order to go through. When I showed up, I learned that they closed. So I figured I will come back on the weekends.
I returned over the weekend hoping they would simply remake the order since I never actually received the food. Instead, they told me they had already made it on Thursday, no one picked it up, and they discarded it — and they refused to help further. Now why would I order on Tuesday to pick up on Thursday.
This was extremely frustrating and, frankly, poor customer service. Any customer-focused restaurant would have shown some flexibility or goodwill in this situation. Instead, they chose to turn away a paying customer who never received their order.
Based on this experience, I will not be returning

Such a great spot! We were hungry after running errands so I stopped in to check it out. Got the gyro and chicken gyro pizzas. Very complex flavor on the chicken with an excellent amount of spice. Filled with flavor and with a perfectly crispy crust, an amazing lunch. Two slices and a soda for $10 is awesome. Will be back!!

THANK GOD FOR NO PIZZA MY SECOND CHOICE WAS THE CHICKEN AND RICE GYROS BOWEL PICTURE WILL BE POSTED. THAT CHICKEN AND RICE GYROS WAS SO DAMN GOOD!!! THE CHICKEN WAS TENDER COOKED IN A HOT SPICY SEASONING AND DELICIOUS. THE SAUCE WHICH IS GIVEN GIVES THE MEAL A EVEN HOTTER KICK AND IT ALSO COMES WITH A CUCUMBER SAUCE. SO THANKS FOR NOT HAVING ANY PIZZA I LIKE BECAUSE THIS CHOICE WAS A MUCH BETTER CHOICE.

Absolutely terrible. The lettuce was brown and completely wilted, the rice tasted old and stale, and the chicken and gyro meat were rock hard like it had been reheated multiple times and left sitting out all week. Nothing was fresh, and the quality was unacceptable. I couldn’t even finish the meal.

I ordered the Chicken & Gyros and clearly asked for it not to be spicy, but it was extremely spicy. The salad inside was wilted and looked old. It was impossible to eat, and my order was completely wasted. This kind of mistake is unacceptable and very disappointing.

The food is decent. This was my second time going to this location. The food was a little bit underwhelming this time. The Lombard location is always a hit and the food tastes much more fresh. Unfortunately I went during lunch hours and the food I ordered this time tasted a little old and stale. The chicken was overcooked, and the gyro was hard, like it had been sitting out for a while. Haven’t tried the pizza from here yet, but may be willing to try it out. Not much of an atmosphere in the store; very basic with a few seats and a TV. This is more of a to-go restaurant, not dine in.

Some of my friends recommended me about this spot for NYC pizza style and rice bowl in Skokie. I finally tried it out and see if the hype was true, and I was impressed how crispy and tasty the pizza was, I ordered the 53rd & cheese pizza . The rice bowl was really good, the ingredients was very fresh!!! Love this spot!!!
Also, love the atmosphere, it’s very clean, cool mural, they play sports on the TV. Definitely a cool hangout spot!

I love New York style pizza so to have a halal ny style pizza in the neighborhood is so exciting! They had a huge range of pizzas to pick from. We got the 53rd, 51st, and pepperoni pizza. We all loved the 53rd one the most! So flavorful with great texture! The 51st has such fun mild flavoring that would be even better with some hot honey drizzle! Also really loves the loaded fires!

Not the best single slice place in the area, maybe it depends on the time of day because mine were not crispy and had probably been sitting on the warmer for too long. The other food looks good so would maybe go back to try another item but the slices are meh.

I purchased two combo rice platters from Slyce, and unfortunately, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. It was my first time trying their food, and they served me old rice that were so stale, they were crunchy. I even recorded a video where you can hear the hard rice hitting the plastic plate—imagine eating rice that felt like tortilla chips.
After eating half the meal, I started feeling unwell the same day. By the next day, I was sick enough to have to cancel my plans, events, and appointments. For the price they charge, the portions are small, which is frustrating in itself. But paying a premium for stale food? Absolutely unacceptable.
I’ve heard good things about their Lombard location, but after this experience, I’m not sure I’ll bother trying. If I could give this branch 0 stars, I would. I definitely don’t recommend this place to anyone.
