Waited 45 minutes for food but was quoted 15 minutes when I ordered. When 2 people who walked in and ordered after me walk out with big bags of food! and no it wasn’t call in orders they placed the orders at the counter after me. Then to add to that my fish tasted like it was fired in burnt grease. Was not good at all. The over all experience will make me not go the again at all. The cook became loud and belligerent with me in from of other customers when ask for my order due to the extreme wait. Don’t recommend the Delmar Location at all

I picked up an extra shift driving for the Muny in Forest Park, and during a break, my coworker and I walked over to the Delmar Loop and stopped at Vails Brothers. Let me tell y’all, the tripe sandwich I had was ! Super crispy, perfectly seasoned, and not chewy at all. I meant to snap a pic, but the hunger hit hard after that walk—if you know, you know! I also ordered the 4-piece honey hot wings. Solid flavor, nice kick but honestly, the tripe stole the show. I knew it was going to hit when the cook looked at us and said, “Oh yeah, I can do that” with full confidence.

This is one of those places I’ve driven past countless times. I finally stopped in about a year ago and I’ve been hooked ever since. SUPER friendly staff. My girlfriend got the tripe sandwich and she said it’s amazing. She could tell the tripe had been properly cleaned. I always get the wings. These guys are seemingly hand breaded to order. Thin, crispy, breading and satisfyingly juicy meat. NOT jumbo wings which is a huge plus. Jumbo wings are a curse to the realm of chicken. I recommend their signature hot honey sauce. That’s part of what keeps me coming back. 9.2/10 clucks.

We were vacationing in STL and decided to give this place a try and we are so glad we did. Tink and the rest of the staff were super friendly! We got the catfish meals and my daughter got the chicken. We all over ate it was so good. The atmosphere was nice as well my daughter was dancing to the music the whole time. Overall 10/10!

This place here exudes family as the cooking makes me feel like my grandma made it. They have amazing dessert, the chicken is to die for. They also have really good rum slushies and frozen margaritas for $5 each….beer as well. Nice for hanging on their cozy patio. Please go support this place. They’re doing AMAZING THINGS.

Did an Uber eats order for 2catfish dinners and chicken tenders. The catfish and fries were overcooked; but the catfish had good flavor. The chicken was cooked right but was flavorless. I got the sauce on the side but the sauce wasn’t super flavorful either so I don’t think it would’ve made the chicken better. Portion size was ok.

The honey hot chicken and fish was amazing! I ordered a side of Mac n cheese, it wasn’t seasoned. Tasted like noodles and cheese. The fries were plain as well, worker told me it was because they had elderly customers. ♀️ They forgot to put my friends fries in her bag, about we realized I was already 15mins away. So after paying almost $40 for a meal, we should have checked her bag before leaving.

Called to complain but they never picked up. Disappointed don’t know if we will ever return.

One of the best meals we had while in St. Louis! The lady running the register could not have been sweeter. Catfish, shrimp, tartar sauce, and wings were all 10/10. She recommended the hot honey sauce for the wings and it was perfection.

Im so disappointed. I decided to try Vail brother’s again because a few years ago I had to write a review because I was disappointed in the quality of my food. I thought since its been awhile I’ll try them again. I got the #1. Shrimp, chicken, fries, roll. My chicken was ok, my fries taste like they were fried in old grease. My shrimp is what really dusapoointed me. They were flat, and they definitely were fried in old grease. I guess it will be a long time before I try again if I do. I know restaurants sometimes have bad days. But I paid $16 and I waa hungry and it was a waste. I bit off 1 shrimp ( rest in the trash) 2 chicken wings, and maybe 4 fries. Oh that Tarter sauce I dipped that 1 bite of shrimp in was DELICIOUS!!! They should bottle that and sale it.
