We love eating here. The food portions are bigger then anywhere else. The cooks are great ! Highly recommend this location. That being said this last friday we went to go eat. It was very busy and service was lacking understandably in some areas. I did get really bothered with the hostess however for the way she handled the situation. We had a reservation at 6. Walked in at 6.05 . She told us its going to be a long time because we’re 15 minutes late. She has the time right in front of her. We corrected her it was 5 minutes. She was super rude and blaming it on us being way later then we were. She had a nose piercing across her nose . We understand being busy and a simple, it may be a little bit we are so busy would have sufficed. Being rude and blaming the customer with a straight lie is super annoying. That being said I will probably not go on a weekend night again just because of the experience but will continue to go at other times.

Great food and environment. We also stayed past closing time on accident, and they were not rude and still friendly about it and we really appreciated that. My favorites are the New Mexico roll and 911 roll. The dynamite I’d also recommend as an appetizer. We also ordered the combo noodles that is enough for two people. Overall this is one of my favorite sushi places in the city.

They forgot one of our items. Pictured is the absolutely absurdly small $4 side of tofu. This amount of tofu costs about 15 cents at the grocer. Ridiculous.

Azuma has always been one of my favorite places to eat. I had a couple of bad days and came to get some comfort food tonight. Brenda was our server and she was seriously amazing. She made the experience even more beautiful. The food was amazing as always, but Brenda made the experience even more special. Thank you guys for making life a little brighter!

Azumas is one of my favorite restaurants, and we go often. I had the Hibachi Scallops and added calamari (extra charge). Our chef cooked both amazingly. We had my favorite sushi roll, the kissing roll, and tried a new one, the Live Volcano roll, which was very spicy, but we enjoyed it as well. Our chef was very entertaining and tried to engage all the patrons. My husband had the Yakiniku steak, which is also spicy, and he loved how tender the beef was. The only issue I had was waiting for another couple to show up so they could begin cooking. We were seated and gave our drink and sushi order. We received our drinks and sushi order and gave on entree order. We waited another 30+ minutes before another couple was seated. All in all it was very good.

So we get here and we had made sure they could seat us at 6pm and they acknowledged. We didn’t seat until 7:30. Then our waitress becomes MIA during the whole course of the meal. We ordered appetizers which was half full and came 45 minutes after the chef already cooked our meal. The chef undercooked all of the shrimp and put it all over my rice. Which I didn’t touch because it was raw. Then the waitress takes out payment which by this point I didn’t even want to pay for this because I was very unhappy. She disappears again……..25 minutes with our debit cards. Multiple people looking for her and she comes out of a back room with our cards. We mentioned the food and appetizers to her and she did not care one bit. I would stay away from the middle section and stay in the outer Grills so you don’t get that waitress. She needs to be trained before she is released to the floor. Also make sure the food is cooked before the cooks decides to place raw seafood all over your other sides in the meal.

This is one of our favorite restaurants. Mike and the other cooks at the grills are always fun and the food is always amazing. We have had fantastic food both at the grill side and private dining. The grill is a family favorite, especially for the teenagers, because we always get so much food. The leftover rice is great the next morning with a scrambled egg.
