Now to the menu: it was hard to read white on black, but our server promised they’re changing the menu in a few different ways. So when we come down there, we will have to see what has changed.
We ate light that night so I can’t review an entree. We ate strawberry, pear, burrata salads, edamame and dynamite shrimp. It’s off season, so a few things were not being offered. All the food was flavorful. We had the dynamite sauce on the side of the shrimp. The sauce was spicy for me, so that was a good choice. The prices reflect a high end restaurant, which is not a problem, yet when I’m spending $22 on a salad, I want generous toppings; not less than a dozen mandoline (extremely thin) slices of pear, a handful of strawberries, and slivered almonds. The sweet poppy seed vinaigrette was delicious. Having said this about their food, since neither my husband nor I had an entree, I will review Sky Nova again on our next visit. So, we will be back.
The restaurant is part of a resort however you do not have to stay at the resort to eat at the restaurant. Worth a trip at sunset.
We found this gem while exploring Bryce Canyon National Park, thanks to Google Maps. My boyfriend spotted it, and I’m so glad he did! I had no idea that Clear Sky Resorts had a restaurant on-site, and discovering it felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure.
The restaurant is about a 30-40 minute drive from Bryce Canyon, and we made it there just before sunset. The drive itself was scenic, but the real treat was when we arrived. Their grounds are beautifully maintained, and we got to see the stunning domes that make this resort so unique. It made us wish we had booked a stay there!
Once we stepped inside the restaurant — WOW. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The dome is massive, with beautiful decor that feels cozy yet upscale. The atmosphere instantly felt warm and welcoming.
We started with some wine and beer, followed by truffle fries as an appetizer. For our main courses, I ordered the Apollo Brick Chicken, and my boyfriend got the Hubble Penne Pasta with Chicken. Both dishes were fantastic — flavorful, well-cooked, and beautifully presented.
One thing to keep in mind: the food does take time to come out, so be prepared to relax and enjoy the ambiance. But trust me, it’s worth the wait!
About an hour into our meal, a live singer started performing. The live music was such a wonderful surprise and really added to the experience. It made our evening feel even more special.
To top it all off, when we asked about dessert, our server told us we could grab free marshmallows, chocolate, and cookies to roast outside at their fire pit. Of course, we couldn’t resist! We grabbed a pack (you get two marshmallows, but you can ask for more) and headed outside to enjoy the fire under the stars.
Roasting marshmallows outside in front of the fire pit was the perfect way to end the evening. It felt magical — the combination of the warm fire, the starry sky, and the cozy dome made it an unforgettable experience.
If you’re in the Bryce Canyon area, I highly recommend making the trip to this restaurant. It’s more than just a meal — it’s an experience that you’ll remember long after your visit.
But the dinner was so good that even picky me cleaned my entire plate.
