Intimate, contemporary setting for innovative twists on classic Mediterranean cooking.

First time dining at Arugula’s – we made reservations and were greeted at sat at our table immediately! Everything from the service, food, and atmosphere were great! We shared two apps – stuffed sourdough bread and eggplant starter. Both were creative and delicious. I had the Branzino and my husband had the Tuna. We thoroughly enjoyed both and regretted that we didn’t have room for dessert.
Would highly recommend!

Such a cute little bistro, right in the heart of West Hartford! Definitely make a reservation, tables are at a premium here and you want to be sure you get a seat. We ordered a few cocktails (I loved the Aviation and the Italicus Spritz was a great spin on a classic), several appetizers, a Flatbread, and two desserts. Every dish comes out picture perfect — we were eyeing several other tables’ food and it all looked fantastic. We started with a few things: the bread, which was ooey, gooey, deliciousness; the Brussels, which were cooked to perfection; and the nachos, that brought a unique, Mediterranean twist to traditional nachos — and were my favorite part of the meal! We tried the duck confit and chorizo Flatbread, definitely recommend, it is different and so flavorful! Both the espresso brownie sundae and the apple crisp were a delightful end to a fantastic meal.

Arugula in West Hartford is an absolute gem. We hosted our annual Geena Becker Team Christmas dinner here — spouses included — and the experience was exceptional from start to finish.
The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and cozy, making it the perfect spot for a special gathering or celebratory dinner. The Italian cuisine is outstanding — beautifully prepared, flavorful, and consistently excellent. Every dish felt thoughtfully crafted, and the pacing of the meal allowed us to truly relax and enjoy the evening.
What truly sets Arugula apart is the combination of excellent food, attentive service, and an inviting neighborhood feel. It’s the kind of place that makes you linger — and that says everything.
If you’re looking for one of the best restaurants in West Hartford for a date night, team dinner, or special occasion, Arugula delivers every single time. We’ll absolutely be back.

Very cute place! My friend recommended this place for the GF options and also because she has had great experiences in the past!
As a first timer I enjoyed my meal and the vibe . I don’t know why I have never been! I have passed by driving and walking right in the center of WEHA and never stopped in! Glad I did! Mediterranean flare ! Some flatbread with some nice choices of apps and main entrees. They actually have a great Happy Hour that goes from Tuesday through Saturdays 4pm to close!
I order a delish Gluten free Flatbread! The crust was unbelievable! So good! If you love mushrooms then you’ll love Wild Mushroom! My friend ordered Branzino which she enjoyed too!
No dessert since we had to rush out but there’s always next time! I’ll need to go back!

I recently held a surprise birthday celebration at Arugula and it was truly sensational!! You have the whole restaurant for your event which made the night so special and personal.
Chris designed a delicious menu and every dish was a hit. I was able to actually enjoy the party because Chris and her amazing team handled it all. From cocktails to dessert – it was done to perfection. Every aspect was so memorable, I continue to get texts days after commenting “it was the best party they have ever attended!” Can’t get any better than that!

Quietly one of the best spots in West Hartford Center. The wine list is excellent, the food is consistently strong, and the whole place has relaxed European bistro vibes. The steak frites are easily the best in the center, and the flatbreads have creative, well balanced flavor combinations. The burger is outstanding, perfect bun-to-beef ratio, no notes. I also love that there are always special wines, cocktails, and other drinks, plus a menu that regularly surprises you in the best way.

We stopped in for social hour on a Saturday afternoon when they opened. First of all, I love that they do this on Saturdays!
Not many places have happy hour on the weekend. We had a few cocktails and the following apps-
Chicken satay, cup and char mini pizza, calamari, and Korean sticky ribs.
Everything was very tasty, I’d have all of these again! My top 2, pizza and chicken satay but the calamari was also very delicious.
We are definitely planning to come back soon for a full dinner experience.
The staff was super friendly, the chef kept coming out of the kitchen to chat with the bar patrons while there was no orders in.
Our bartender was helpful and made some great cocktails.
Definitely worth checking out if you’ve never been!

Just attended a private party at this restaurant. Everything was perfect! The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The food was outstanding–all my favorites–and the service was personal and kind. The owner even facilitated the celebration and made it very personal. Can’t say enough about this little gem!

Arugula was one of those places I always passed by and was curious to try, so when my friend asked me to go there with her I was so excited! I knew that they had a lot of Mediterranean influence on the menu but wasn’t expecting the flatbread section of the menu – we ordered two and they were delicious! It was a fine dining vibe with really professional and attentive staff.
