I order the same drink every time. This is the closest Starbucks to me and I never have an issue when I go in the afternoon/evening. However, be wary of morning shift!! My mobile order took 10 minutes longer than the estimated time (7-12 minutes) and the order was made incorrectly. I don’t think there’s a drop of syrup in my drink! Mind you, Starbucks charges for syrup so I paid for it and didn’t even get any!! No one communicated that they were out so I’m pretty sure it was just forgotten and I rushed out before noticing my flavorless latte.
Additionally in the 10 minutes that I waited inside for my drink, I noticed that the workers just seemed rather lackadaisical. As someone who has worked at a Starbucks before, I wouldn’t say that they were super busy, just super slow completing orders. The barista on the bar clearly did not know how to order the drinks in a way that would allow her to complete multiple at a time. She would often draw espresso shots for a drink and leave them sitting while preparing a different order (letting shots die). Additionally, I would think moving so slow would allow them to pay more attention to detail but if my order outcome doesn’t tell you enough, let me also add that she only halfway cleaned items in between drinks. I specifically recall when she went to rinse out the foam blender and from 5 feet away, I watched her rinse it for 2 seconds, set the blender down and move on while the blender still noticeably had tons of foam residue in it (creating a potential cross-contamination issue for people with allergies). This same lackadaisical behavior was apparent in just about everything she did. After about 10 minutes of me standing and watching, the only barista with recognizable customer service skills asked me about what I was waiting for. Afterwards, my drink was (incorrectly) prepared and I rushed out to continue my day.
(Also bonus points for getting my name right! Haha, people sometime mishear me so I was so relieved.)
I will update my review if things change, as always.
