My husband and I ate here during our stay at the Hotel for our annual birthday/Valentine’s weekend getaway. We made a reservation and few weeks in advance and there was no wait for us. The decorations and environment were very comfortable. The music may have been a little loud for my taste, but you didn’t here all the humdrum of everyone talking and silverware clanking. The food was delicious! The whipped potatoes and brussel sprouts were divine. My husband and I got steaks which were both tender and delicious. There are staff who I guess assist the servers and ours was amazing. From clearing our plates, getting our steak knives to checking on us, she was a delight. Overall, a good experience.

My boyfriend and I came here for my birthday celebrations last night and it was absolutely delicious. The restaraunt was beautiful and the food was literally so good. You can tell they take their time prepping and making the food here. The steak was amazing the cauliflower au gratin was to die for and the pumpkin lobster bisque was chefs kiss! If I had one bad thing to say it would be that we got their special- seafood mac and cheese and it came out super dry. I will be fixing it up in my home kitchen and I’m sure it will be great. Our server was just the sweetest woman and we really enjoyed our time here. We will definitely be coming back with friends. Thank you to everyone working here. I had a great birthday. 🙂

We stopped in on our way to Washington, Virginia, and had a delicious meal! We had the salmon and the filet mignon, and both were cooked perfectly! The wedge salad was one of the best we’ve had. Highly recommend!

Beautiful, glorious food. If the chef can change your mind about a food group, that’s an excellent cook. I don’t like seafood but I really loved the tuna appetizer!
The service was superb. We were visiting for our 12th anniversary, and the servers gave us complementary champagne and dessert!
The brussel sprouts were the piece de for me. My husband was delighted with the fish special.

We recently moved to the area and visited this restaurant for the first time during Restaurant Week with my wife. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was refined and inviting, exactly what you hope for in an upscale steakhouse. The food was exceptional perfectly cooked steaks, rich flavors, and beautiful presentation throughout the meal.
What truly elevated the entire experience, though, was our server Kara. She was absolutely wonderful, attentive without being intrusive, incredibly knowledgeable about the features, and genuinely warm and professional. Her timing was flawless, her recommendations were spot on, and she made us feel genuinely cared for from start to finish. It’s rare to encounter service that feels both elegant and personal, and she delivered that effortlessly.
An outstanding dining experience all around. We will absolutely be returning, and a big part of that is thanks to her exceptional service.

The food, service and atmosphere are 5 stars. We’ll worth every penny. Our server Stephanie was excellent and our experience there very enjoyable. Edit.. After reflecting on our dinner at William and Henry, I must say, having six plus decades of dining experience both in the US and in Europe, our time here was the most memorable. The food was exceptional, but it was the staff that really made the evening most enjoyable.

Absolutely incredible. We came for our anniversary and were treated like royalty. It was our second visit here and both visits have been exceptional and memorable. The level of service is unlike anywhere else. The food is all outstanding. I’ve been just about everywhere in this city, and this is without any doubt the best restaurant in Lynchburg.
Note: yes, it is expensive, but it is worth it. Trust.

We spent our Valentines dinner at William & Henry and it did not disappoint. Always exceptional service, and we were so happy to see that our server was Sadie again – who always so kindly remembers us. The food was absolutely delicious and the chefs always make everything to perfection. We love coming and having dinner here!

This restaurant is so worth the price. The best steaks (ribeye) we have ever had. One had the bacon fig jam added, and the other had a blue cheese crust. The drinks were fantastic as well (we had already taken a sip before the photo.) We also ordered the goat cheese stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer and fingerling potatoes to go with our steaks. Everything tasted amazing!
The only downside to our evening, which is not the restaurants fault, was a group seated near us who were quite loud and obnoxious. This isn’t a restaurant we can afford to eat at every Friday night, this was a special occasion for us. So it was a bit annoying, but again, not the restaurants fault.

We had booked a room at The Virginian Hotel for last, our first time, and saw that William & Henry was in the hotel so we booked it for convenience. Boy did we get lucky! This restaurant is beautifully decorated, the service is outstanding, and a really nice menu. I got the bone-in Ribeye and my wife got the crab cake – both were incredibly delicious and we WILL be back! We had a great bottle of wine too!
