We ordered soju, beer, and “For You and I” BBQ option. They do offer a decent selection of meat and other options, and the service was amazing. That said, with 1 bottle of soju, the meal, and only 2 beers, it was over $210. I am not sure we could go on a regular basis, but it was still a nice meal!
I highly recommend talking to the waiters and bonus if you encounter the owner, he’s a very fun person to talk to! Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and genuine service!
When I was ordering, the server was nice and helpful and gave me recommendations, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, after that I felt rushed and unwelcome.
When I first came in, I asked to use the bathroom and was told no. I understand if there’s a customer-only policy, but I was planning to order right away, which I did. After placing my order and telling her I was eating there, my food was packed to go without asking. When I said I was eating inside, she told me I couldn’t eat there because it was already packed.
She then said I had to pay an extra service fee to eat there and charged me $7.84 after I had already paid for my food, just so I could stay and eat inside. The restaurant wasn’t crowded, so the situation felt unnecessary and uncomfortable.
Another worker noticed what was happening and was very kind — he brought me water and kimchi and seemed genuinely apologetic, which I appreciated.
Overall, the food was good, but the service and extra unexpected charge made me feel rushed and unwelcome. With better communication and transparency, this place could be much better.
From appetizer to main food, everything was so delicious. Especially bulgogi nachos was very unique. I could not stop eating it.
I loved the marinated beef, I loved the sauce, and they were so tender. It was really good with white rice.
I think I am going to come here more often! I’d recommend this place for all special nights like birthday dinners, dates, family dinners or even just for a dine in 🙂 This place will make your day special!
This is a restaurant that use natural ingredients and NO MSG.
We had Neorangnarang (all of their menu names are so cute), a variety of food was served – shrimp, pork shoulder and marinated beef, rib eye and also delicious Korean side dishes. It was great to have different kinds of Korean food all at one meal.
One part I really liked was that they changed the grill pan after we ate beef to grill pork. It was all fresh up, and it was like starting a new meal. It was a good experience.
After we finished having main grilled meat, we had fried rice with vegie thing. It was so good too. I had it in Korea, but it was my first time seeing something like this in NY. It was an unique experience.
Overall experience at Nangman was very satisfying. I want to introduce this place to all of my friends in NY!
