I thoroughly enjoyed my vanilla latte this morning! I also purchased a jar of pasta sauce and bag of pasta. The staff member was very kind and quick with making my drink. This is the 4th time I’ve gotten coffee at Primo’s, and it’s been great every time! Love popping in when visiting town.

I was hesitant to visit today because I read a bad review about the bread being stale …not so. They bake the bread themselves everyday. I’m assuming the reviewer doesn’t know what ” rustic Italian” bread is. It’s very firm and chewy like a baguette. Clean pleasant atmosphere, friendly staff and reasonably priced.

I really want this place to succeed, so I’m going to provide some honest feedback. Came in for coffee and a place to do some work, grabbed a slice of panettone that was on sale. All that was good.
The less good: I had problems logging into the wifi. The person behind the counter said it has issues sometimes and suggested I try sitting further back in the cafe (instead of by the window). So I moved–right next to an old boombox blasting the radio. So I had New Kids on the Block (literally), Backstreet Boys, and commercials blaring at me as I tried to do some work on the computer.
Maybe they’re not trying to be the kind of place people sit and work, but that’s what downtown Homewood needs IMO, and I’d rather go someplace local than Starbucks. I hope they’re able to invest in a better sound system and wifi service.

First time we came here, a while back, the food and drinks were great. Today I walked in to a blaring radio and no staff. I waited. I looked for a bell to ring (none). I called the phone multiple times and heard it ring four feet away from me but no one came to answer. I would have left this feedback in a voicemail but that was not an option.

Primo’s replaced Red Bird Cafe. I’m still trying to get a feel for the new owners. I’m used to how personal and welcoming Kim was. The young woman who took my order seemed nice. However there was an older woman who I believe is the owner, she was showing the younger woman how to make the coffee. I didn’t feel a friendly vibe from the older woman for some reason. You can just feel when people aren’t genuinely nice. The thing is that I always try to support local businesses around the neighborhood. Everyone should feel welcomed around our neighborhood regardless of race, background, gender, etc. Nevertheless, the space is updated and very clean. I haven’t tried the sandwiches yet, just the coffee which is pretty good. I go here instead of Starbucks because they use natural syrups for the lattes. Just treat people how you’d like to be treated. Spread good vibes!

Well i’d like to say the atmosphere was nice inside but the service and food were not what we expected. They didn’t have decaf at a coffee store. She told us 8 minutes for two turkey paninis and we waited about 20 minutes for them both. Don’t tell a time frame if that’s not the case. The turkey sandwiches weren’t made like the menu said either. The sandwich had cheddar instead of provolone. Cleanliness could be better.Cross contamination was upsetting to see. They’re new so they could be better about time and cleanliness.

I’ve been here twice in one week one to try some breakfast food and the other for lunch! Breakfast sandwich was super solid, the english muffin it was served on was really fresh and had great texture with the egg cheese and sausage, grabbed a latte as well which was delicious.
just got some lunch today and was extremely happy with the special they’re running as well as one of their regular menu sandwiches. Don’t pass up the fried provolone bites they were super cheesy and tasted great dipped in their marinara. I also really enjoy that they have different products like granola, charcuterie supplies and a ton of different beverages to try, don’t pass up this place!

Great spot for a sandwhich. I had the chicken parm sandwich with fries. The cutlet breading was crispy and cooked perfectl, the chicken was juicy. The Brioche bun was fresh and delicious. I though the waffle fries were seasoned perfectly as well. I will be back to try more on the menu.

Absolutely thrilled to finally have a locally owned coffee shop in town! Their menu is relatively limited, but everything on it is exceptional. This family-run business offers some grocery items, the best coffee I’ve had since leaving the city, and fantastic sandwiches. Very clever to share a window with the Ridgewood to continue serving into the evening.

I stopped in to check out the new establishment and try the coffee. The space is updated, clean and spacious. The people that run it seem friendly, I assume they are. The coffee was fresh and flavorful, I just wish they had more syrup flavors for the lattes. I’ll be stopping back again to try out the sandwiches and will update the review.
