Ordered the shrimp fajitas and the ground beef burrito. Both dishes exceeded our expectations. Alberto and the server were friendly and made us feel at home. Being from Southern Arizona, we are always on the hunt for great Mexican food and this place did NOT disappoint! Great flavor and seasoning was perfect. All the one of a kind tequilas from Mexico you would t expect. The establishment is cozy and bright with a feeling of south of the border. All the beers you could want, foreign and domestic plus whiskeys and vodkas. If you want some authentic Mexican food in Eagle Rock area, come down to TAQUERIA CARLITO.

Place was nice and clean. We were greeted right away, got chips and salsa, drinks pretty fast. Salsa pretty bland, watery, just tomato taste slightly. Got a red and green hot salsa with it that were ok snd made eating chips better. We order first time and server said she didnt think there was any chile rellenos, wouldve been nice to know to begin with. She takes order comes back and they defintely out. Well while I’m having to decide on something else plus for my Daughter to go, the server stands there. Akward! I get what my Husband ordered 3 chicken enchiladas meal with rice and beans came with lettuce and slice of tomatoe w/sour cream. All of mainly tasted a little old. The beans were slighty sour. The rice was colored like spanish rice but it was bland and slighty old tasting and some rice not cooked. We had our choice of sauce and had cheese sauce. Alot of it so that helped my husband get most of his down he said. Chicken was like precooked (i.e. tyson) frozen reheated, dry. Its only thing wrapped in tortillas. Covered with cheese sauce. I couldnt finish beans and rice. Only thing I really ate was cheese sauce and pulled chicken out ofthe two remaining “enchiladas” with the lettuce, tomatoe, sour cream. I was hungry and fill myself somewhat. I got a chicken supreme quesidilla for my Daughter brought straight home still warm. Same chicken in queso pretty dry, chewy bland my daughter said. Only few onions and some green peppers inside. My daughter asked what made it supreme. She had same opinions as me about rice and beans. Only ate the fresh stuff and 1 1/2 piece of queso.

I am PICKY about Mexican restaurants. Every aspect of the food has to be good which includes but not limited to chips, salsa food and margs. Everything was sooooo good. The chips were perfection along with the salsa and food. The food was delicious. I don’t eat leftovers but this was a different story. I boxed up what I didn’t eat and had the rest for dinner. I want to drive 3 hours just to have it again.

We got 3 large cheese dips, 30$ for about 2.5 cups, that is generous on what we got 3 little bitty cups. Oh well rip off is rip off. 30 dollars, the cup does not hold 8oz of coffee- we know Keurig 8oz not fit. Thanks for nothing
