I love the mitten! Monroe/Newport area needs more small business like this instead of franchise! They have fun seasonal menus and a kind staff The best thing I ever had from the Mitten was when they first opened in the fall a couple years ago they offered a sweet potato quiche, it was so amazing. I haven’t seen this on the menu since then but if you’re reading this… Please bring it back… Or share the recipe? It would be nice to have more vegetarian options but I can always accommodate something really good here!

I got a dirty chai with oatmilk. Not only was it not incredibly expensive (which most small businesses charge an arm and a leg), it was genuinely the best I’ve ever had!! I live too far to visit here weekly, but I absolutely would if I could. The rest of my group (4 other people) also enjoyed their drinks very much. The food was well made, and in large portions for the price. I cannot recommend this place enough!!

I just got back home from visiting here. It was simply fabulous! The inside is absolutely darling and all of the staff were super friendly! I got a few things to go, like two of their fall drinks. An iced caramel apple macchiato (so delicious and perfect for fall!) and an iced maple latte with spiced cold foam. I got two blueberry hand pies as my sweet treat and an apple butter turkey bacon sandwich to go! I could easily see this as a go to spot for me if I was closer, but it’s a super nice treat when I’m around Newport!

My partner and I visited The MItten per a friend’s recommendation. My partner had The Strawberry Pecan Salad. Very tasty. Big portions. I had The Chicken Cesar Wrap. Was good. The only downfall to it that is was served cold. I was expecting it to be heated like other restaurants do. The Chocolate Chip Cookie was soft & Chewy. The only way to make it better was to heat it up. Like a fresh Cookie straight out of the oven.
I also had The Hott Chocolate. The best Hott Chocolate I have ever had.

You should try this place! I enjoyed everything about The Mitten Café. Food was delicious. I recommend the Pesto Tomato and Egg Sandwich on Sourdough (with bacon). Biscuits were perfect on the Biscuits and Gravy. Incredible. The drinks were great. The staff was great. Comfortable atmosphere.

Had the best latte here, super creamy and the syrup was amazing, great breakfast burrito too. Love that they have lent/vegetarian options too!
