I am local to the area and I drive by this place every day on my way to work.
I finally decided to stop by for the lunch buffet to give it a try.

I was not disappointed! The building is so unassuming from the outside. Inside it is gorgeous.
A very relaxing and warm atmosphere. I was immediately greeted and shown to a table

The bar isn’t very large but it still had plenty of options. Nothing was overly spicy, all very mild.
There are no American food choices for picky eaters if you plan to bring children. But if you’re an adventurous bunch that likes to try new things or already love Indian cuisine I can’t recommend this place enough.

The food is awesome, the staff extremely friendly, the decor lovely and it isn’t over priced. Don’t hesitate to stop and eat here!

Good buffet dinner. Customer service should be better.
We went their for dinner with my wife and some friends. There was a good selection of food. Food tasted good too.
I am giving them a 3-star rating because of cleanliness and their service. When I was trying to grab a dish, I found a couple of dishes that were not washed properly. I pointed that out to their manager. The restaurant was not fully crowded, still, the staff couldn’t handle the work load. I think they are under staffed.
Usually, Indian restaurants don’t offer buffet dinner (offer only buffet lunch). We were surprised to find it here. I think their food is good for $15 you pay.

I’ll never come back!! The service is good, I don’t have nothing bad to say about it, and was clean, but the food is bad. Very poor selection, a little kind of different food, the rice was very dry, and the flavor wasn’t good. I try better Indian buffet and cheaper than this. For dessert they have only two options! Oh man, at least put some fruit. Don’t waste your money in this place. It was my first and last time. There are a lot of better options in Sevierville and Pigeon forge.

The worst Indian buffet I have ever been to. The service sucks more than Industrial size vacuum and definitely not even worth $7 forget paying $15. The food was never there in the container, no one even cares to check for the customers. And the food is literally out of this world.. you will have fun time searching for Chicken in so called chicken biryani, goat meat in goat curry and forget tandoori it just disappears in thin air..
If you don’t wish to have a traumatic experience I would suggest to give this place a miss.

This comes from a person who is very particular when it comes to authentic Indian food. We went there with 0 expectation because of poor rating online and being our only option in the vicinity. But we were thrilled to see the variety they had for dinner buffet. Food was exceptionally good and not at all Americanized. We ate like there is no tomorrow. I want to thank these guys for making original Indian food available even amidst these hills. Good job.

I was skeptical to go here after reading the reviews but I did go there only to know how good the food, place and people are. One of the best Indian restaurants I have been to in US so far. I wouldn’t say that they offer the best tasting food but they do offer really good food which I would score 8/10. The staff are really welcoming and friendly. The prices are so affordable and buffet was bang for buck and yummy.

The food is absolutely delicious, not the reason for the low review. Be aware, if a to-go box is offered, unless you want to pay an additional 10.00, do not accept. We were deceived into believing since it was lunch buffet and closing soon we were basically taking food that was going to be thrown out. Not the case. However, this was not explained at all. The low rating is for the deception. Not a good business practice.

It has been a victim of a smear campaign.
The place was excellent!
. Let me please speak to some of the things you read in the one star listings.
1. The buffet is excellent. There may be a person or two ahead of you but not 10-15 minute wait as mentioned.
2. Food is replenished and I never noticed it empty.
3. Staff was pleasant and engaging. The waiter took care of us. (Water glasses filled and plates removed) and joked with my son.
4. You DO NOT pay first. You eat and pay when you are done
5. They DO NOT serve on paper plates and plastic ware. China and silverware is used.

Finally shame on anyone who does this to another.
We went the year before and had an excellent experience but when we read the reviews we almost decided not to go this year. So we walked in and looked to determine if even some of the complaints were true. We noticed the food look good and restocked, China and silverware and we did not have to pay first we realized people were lying in their reviews.

It was a nice visit. We will go a couple more times while we are here before we leave.

As soon as i walked in the smell hit me and my entire body started to drool. I have never had Indian food before and i was a bit afraid thinking it would be too spicy for me. I was wrong. I do not know good indian food from bad but i know I could not stop eating and now that i am stuffed sitting here typing this out i want to go back in and keep eating. Very friendly staff. Clean dinning room and I even peeked back into the kitchen and It was clean. Looking at some of the other reviews makes me afraid because if it gets better than this i will eat myself to death. I highly recommend Sitar Indian Cuisine. A+

I would give this place 5 stars but I am subtracting for the deplorable state of the women’s restroom.

The men’s was just fine.

The food was really good. I love spinach known as palace. To my delight there were 2 dishes with it. The spice level was just enough. There was vegetarian and non vegetarian choices.

The best thing ever was the gulag Jamin. It is a dessert of fried dough in syrup. I could eat them until they came out my ears. They taste like donuts in a warm syrup. So good. You might want to pass on the mango custard.
