I visited Wholly Grounds a couple of days ago and I must say this will be the first establishment I will be a regular at. The atmosphere and decor is beautiful, welcoming, and comforting. The food and beverages are amazing and so are the people who serve, own and operate this pillar in our community. Do yourself a favor and spend the day working from here or treat a friend to an epic coffee date, you won’t be disappointed!

Coffee is the elixir of life.
For me it’s a spiritual thing almost.
The atmosphere of the coffee house is paramount. Patrons come and go, chat about their day and plans. The smells wafting thru.
This particular one is in Dayton Ohio. A not so busy buissness area. A few restaurants, a gas station. Even an off ramp to I 35 highway out the window. But inside, it’s a different world. The owner has furnished it with solid old wood furniture. Very tasteful lighting and kept the old wood floors intact. The menu superb. The staff excellent. The coffee, needless to say, is right on point. I found this spot due to a set of circumstances, I won’t describe, but basically on accident and out of need. Jackpot. Its such a perfect fit i want to buy it but one of the Owners, a transfer from Ireland back in 1992, is as important to the character of the spot as the lights, furniture and the coffee itself. Bravo Wholly Grounds.. y’all hit one out of the park with this spot.

Nice ambiance to this coffee shop. A bit of a challenge getting to it from the hotel. The lattes were nice and on the hotter side, but a little disappointed in the taste – definitely using dark roast beans but the flavors didn’t balance out like they should in a latte. Still recommend and maybe your taste buds will appreciate it more than mine.

What an amazing place and atmosphere. Perfect vibe for the first coffee of the day or a place to relax and unwind. They offer coffee drinks for those coffee drinkers that like international and local favorite types of coffee drinks. Also they have some tasty baked goods too. The owners are extremely friendly. You can enjoy their back patio area as well as some comfortable deep cushion sofas and chairs. Finally they offer live jazz music on certain nights and they are working on getting some spoken word poetry nights too. My new favorite coffee house in Dayton.

I never pass up an opportunity to visit a new place for the first time, so I’m glad this time wasn’t any different! Amy at Wholly Grounds showed me instantly how this place gained popularity so quickly in Dayton community! The art work made the walls seem lively. The lighting was soft and mellow to balance out the heavy blaring of the city outside. The drink offers ranged from a stand out cup of basic black all the way up to a coffee lovers ideal favorites! They even had some things that I couldn’t imagine coming up with, but can’t wait to try!)
Donuts, vegan cookies (chocolate chip) and Oatmeal Cream Pies, pastries and other tasty treats.
I can tell this one will be a new favorite!

I’ve visited Wholly Grounds a handful of times now. Each experience has been absolutely lovely. I’ve had ice lattes, hot drinks (mocha, chai) and teas. The barista‘s have all been kind and helpful when assisting me with what I should order. Now the indoor atmosphere is unmatched. Beautiful thriving plants, round tall tables with barstools and typical square ones along with cozy couches furnish the indoor space. It’s a nice place to have a coffee chat, do laptop work or even read a book! The porch area in the back is delightful as well with a great amount of shade and sun. I would definitely recommend to others

Late rating but I want to say that I love the PB&J latte!!! I love the lady that works here he is quick, super friendly, & works with you. I order a sandwich & when I was done I had to have another one. Seating is so comfortable & the atmosphere is calm. Will come back again for another cub of PB&J
