They were wonderful at taking my order by phone (since I was 3 hours away) for my daughter’s birthday. She enjoyed everything and the birthday message you wrote for me. Bulgogi lunch box and army stew

This is one of my favorite restaurants in Huntsville so I hate to leave a critical review but some serious changes need to be made. Today my family of four went (we go very often) and the service was laughably bad. First of all, we were given only sips of miso soup in our bowls (is it really that much more expensive to at least halfway fill the small bowls?) and then we reviewed no silverware for our dishes. That wasn’t a huge issue because there are chopsticks on the table but the issue was we were given no napkins. So we asked for napkins and were brought one (1) napkin for four people. So we asked a second time for napkins and were brought one (1) napkin again. So we asked for napkins a third time and again were brought one (1) napkin. When that singular napkin was brought to us my mom said “hey there’s 4 of us we need more napkins” and a whole stack was brought to us passive aggressively. I understand that this is a mom&pop restaurant so we try to be charitable and patient but this was too pitiful to ignore. We never received silverware for our meals. Portions decline every time we go. The food is SO good so I would really love to see the service get better and portions increase.

A Culinary Journey to Korea’s Delight at Garam!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

My husband and I recently had the pleasure of dining at this incredible Korean restaurant, and it was an absolute feast for the senses! From the moment we walked in, the inviting ambiance set the stage for a memorable culinary experience.

The highlight of our evening was undoubtedly the Pig Feet, a unique and flavorful dish that left our taste buds dancing. The ChickeFried Rice was perfectly seasoned, and the Dinner Box was a treasure trove of delights, featuring Chapchae noodles, Korean dumplings, Kimchi pancakes, and a medley of other mouthwatering Korean delicacies.

Every bite was a celebration of authenticity and freshness. The inclusion of radish enhanced the overall dining experience, providing a delightful contrast to the rich flavors of the main dishes. The attention to detail in each dish showcased the chef’s dedication to delivering an authentic Korean dining experience.

The staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure our satisfaction. The restaurant’s commitment to customer service is truly commendable.

If you’re a food enthusiast or someone curious about Korean cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. The diverse menu and impeccable execution of each dish make it a perfect place to explore and savor the wonders of Korean food.

Join me in this gastronomic adventure and discover the magic of Korean cuisine. Your taste buds will thank you! We can’t wait to return for another delightful experience.

For those who appreciate a well-curated culinary experience and love sharing their food adventures on social media, this restaurant is a haven. Don’t forget your camera – every dish is a potential Instagram masterpiece!

Garam is the place to go for authentic Korean food. It’s not a chain restaurant and the food tastes like your best friend’s Korean granny made it. Highly recommend starting with one of the “lunch boxes” because you can try literally 10 items at once. The service was excellent and our hostess was very friendly and helpful. Everything was wonderful and I can’t wait to go back!

As of August 2022, Garam serves delicious Korean classics at a great price. They have had new management since May 2022 and are still under the radar. The menu is simple to order from and the food comes pretty quick. I look forward to more visits and eventually trying their tofu soups!

Update: been craving good ramen and saw they had a good selection on their menu. That was a mistake. I’m pretty sure this ramen started its life in a little red bag. There was beef in there but it was meh. My silverware and napkin were dirty. Service was not as good but I think that was because there was regulars that the server knew. Will probably still come back and get bibimbap when in town but I’d steer far away from the ramen.

Jan 2024: Awesome little spot to grab a quick bite, and I mean Quick! I got the spicy pork bibimbap. By the time I finished my soup, the main course was coming out in a hot stone bowl. The japchae side was a perfect addition to my bowl. The cucumber kimchi was not traditional but still very tasty. You get refills on your sides. I regret saying yes, but that’s really because I was already getting full.
Service was friendly and cheerful. Prices and portions are reasonable. I will definitely return.

Not the most upscale Korean restaurant in Huntsville, BUT this family owned business is a gem! It has plenty of parking, a great menu, and authentic Korean cuisine. We ordered the Army Stew, corn pancake, spicy pork, and BiBimBap. The entrees come with rice and two sides and can be a bit spicy. All in all a great little spot for Korean food. If you are in Huntsville and want a good little place for Korean food, give them a shot!

This family owned place is our go to sit in Korean restaurant around Huntsville. Their food is well seasoned and definitely hits the spot if one is craving for a Korean dish. For us, the ddukbokki is the best appetizer. They cook it much differently and taste better than other Korean restaurants in the area.
