Stopped by the soft opening of the new Hong Kong Bakery on PIB today (1/3/26), and Duluth just got a serious upgrade. The space is huge, super modern, and they even have an indoor screen big enough to host the Super Bowl.

They were offering free dim sum and a drink with membership (or B1G1 if you don’t want to commit), which was a nice surprise. Even though the full bread selection isn’t out yet, everything I tried was excellent—both the bread and the dim sum were already hitting 10/10.

If you’re a fan of their Pleasant Hill location, this one feels like the glow‑up version. Same great menu, but in a bigger and more polished space. Excited to see this place fully up and running. Duluth, we’re lucky to have this one.

I have been here a few times since opening in Jan 2026 and I absolutely love this place. This is a great place for economical HK comfort food. I sincerely hope this place to be successful. Today we ordered two bowls of noodle soup and noticed the noodles are clumped together. We also needed to wipe the table a little ourselves. Perhaps they are a little short staffed.

Amazing place with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and they offer many great options for kids. Prices are very reasonable for the quality. Highly recommended!

New location in Duluth off Peachtree Industrial and Pleasant Hill. I had their Hong Kong Milk Tea, order of Shrimp/Pork Siu Mai and Beef Rice Roll (Cheung Fun). The milk tea was good, standard HKMT. The SIU Mai was too dense, it was packed tight and filling but just too hard. The Cheung Fun was 9/10, they did not skimp on the beef, they had so much in it, definitely recommend it.

My friends always recommend this spot for authentic Hong Kong-style milk tea[SOO GOOOD] and classic Chinese bakery treats. Their egg tarts are great, and the soups are wonderfully comforting.

im definitely coming back for milktea to-go

The dim sum and pastry items were very good. Great atmosphere with comfortable seating. My only qualm is that the Hong Kong milk tea tasted a little watered down. I think the other location in Duluth had a stronger tasting milk tea? But the one here definitely could have been significantly stronger, just to be closer to the authentic HK version. I hope they tweak the recipe to make it stronger.

This was my third time visiting this restaurant. My first two visits were during their soft opening, and they were great, so I had high hopes coming back.

This time, I ordered five items. As soon as I opened the containers, I immediately noticed a spoiled smell. It seemed to be coming from the BBQ pork rolls. The BBQ pork tasted like very low-quality meat that had been sitting out for a while, chopped up, and wrapped in broken rice sheets.

I also tried half of the beef and cilantro meatballs. They tasted off, so I opened one up. It had a very strong, rancid smell, the inside was raw, and the bean curd sheet was completely mushy. The only good dish was the Taiwanese popcorn chicken.

We went from loving this place to absolutely hating it. This experience was infuriating and disgusting. I would not go back again.
