If you’re in Augusta, do yourself a favor and eat at McNeely’s Place. Everything about this restaurant is wonderful — the food, the atmosphere, and the staff were all top-notch.
My husband ordered the pot roast, I had the smothered chicken, and my sister got the country fried steak, and every single plate was incredible. You can tell everything is homemade and made with care.
If there’s a wait, I promise it’s worth it. And when they ask what kind of bread you want… get the pineapple banana nut bread. It was some of the best I’ve ever had.
We’ll definitely be back!

A cozy atmosphere and home cooked meals- what’s not to love!? Truly a gem to have this place in North Augusta! Service and food are exceptional!
I have worked fine dining for 10 years, and this place truly hits every mark in terms of food presentation, service, and quality of the food despite not being fine dining. The servers are always so kind and attentive- I didn’t have to ask for anything once. The care and love that goes into this place is so clear based on how the employees act and the quality of the food. We will definitely be back!

The food was great mash potatoes are fresh not no box food. Meatloaf is good I will be going back to try more food. There is a different menu everyday.

The Best homemade food around.
Today on order was a savory chicken pot pie, broccoli salad as well as a cucumber and tomato salad. All time favorite, BLT…loaded with bacon.
Another plus to my now favorite spot is, for $6.50 you can take home a homemade frozen dinner, the serving is a healthy size. Ask your server for details.
Service was stellar. We loved our server, she made perfect suggestions and was very personable. When I’m back in town, this may be my only place to eat!

We had the best food ever on a cute little porch today! The food was amazing, absolutely no complaints. It arrived so quickly I am still in disbelief that it was all homemade but it definitely is! Mandie is a ray of sunshine, so sweet and too cute. I am going to dream about the visit until I can stop back from Columbia!

My sister and I had a lovely lunch. We were looking for filling homemade comfort food and McNeely’s was just the ticket!
We didn’t realize that they closed at 3:00 and arrived a little after 2:00. Having extensive experience in restaurants and hospitality, I well know the dread of diners that arrive close to closing time. No worries though. We were welcomed and received excellent service with no hint of being rushed. Amanda K. was amazing and went the extra mile to make our experience great.
The food was fantastic. We enjoyed every bite. You can tell that everything is made from scratch and the portion sizes were huge.
I will be returning soon and sharing this gem with my friends and family.

Great little spot with awesome service. I tried the salad cause thats what I was craving but everything looks really good and has huge portions. Per one of the people working there everything is fresh and not from some food service place so thats pretty cool. Ill def be back

McNeely’s Place is one of those places that feels like a warm hug. It’s like literally eating at someone’s house right after church. I took my grandmother there often and would get to go plates for lunch. My mom loves it, and I totally get why. The food tastes home-cooked and from scratch, the portions are generous, and it has that cozy “grandma’s dining room” comfort that’s hard to find.
