I ordered the chicken and waffles. The waffle was very dense without taste and the tenders were caked with batter that was also tasteless. After removing the batter from the chicken it a very thin strip of meat. Not worth the price. My daughter ordered a bigger and fries which was “ok”. The fries were oily and not crispy. The best part of the experience was the staff which were very nice.

I went to John’s for first time and I was so happy I did! The place was nicely decorated, the staff was very friendly! I didn’t get her name but our server/ cashier was very patient and gave us ample time to study the minue. I got the 2 gets home fries with 3 or 4 meats! The portion sizes are huge! The food was really good! I can’t wait to go back with my family. John’s is like a hidden gem!

John’s Cafe in Plano has been there for years. I finally tried them out for breakfast this past weekend and was impressed. I was just sad that I haven’t eaten there sooner.
I arrived around 11am and it was somewhat busy, but I was able to get a booth right away. I was greeted immediately upon seating with menus and she took my drink order. The fresh hot coffee arrived a few minutes later and she also took my order.
The coffee was great. Not too weak and not too strong. The perfect mix for my tastes. I ordered the meat lover’s omelette with a side of hash browns and an English muffin. I requested they butter and grill the English muffin as opposed to just toasting it and it came out perfect. The omelette was good and filled with ingredients. The hash browns had the right amount of crisp to them.
This is definitely a little hole-in-the-wall family run business and it shows. They all love what they do and take care of their diners. The inside was very clean and charming. They had a nice mix of music playing in the background.
I will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot for breakfast. They do serve lunch as well, but I have not tried any lunch items yet. If it’s anything like their breakfasts, you can’t go wrong.

I haven’t ordered breakfast from this restaurant in many years so, I decided to try them out this morning. Their breakfast used to be very good but they have really fell off. I ordered the chicken fried steak and it was paper thin, I asked for over easy eggs but my yolks were cooked too hard. The hash browns were under cooked. The whole experience tasted rushed..
I will not be ordering breakfast from this establishment again. Their lunches are very good though.

The restuarant is available for private parties at an affordable cost and amazing concierge service. We rented for my daughter’s treintañera and it was perfect! The owner was very accommodating. I highly recommend for small gatherings for about 80 to 100 max depending on table set up. They are faily quick to respond to any questions. I will definitely book again.

Pleasantly surprised by the inside despite the exterior facade. Uncongested and uncluttered inside without other patrons breathing down one’s back with loud voices. Had soft conversations because there be was negligible clatter inside.
Good choices for breakfast for those not seeking pretentious “gourmet” priced victuals. Would have preferred a better ratio of soft versus crisp hash browns but it is always a good experience to sample the establishment’s preferences.
Good options for those with dietary restrictions. Would have preferred the omelettes to be a tad more fluffy than flat. The fillings were not over indulged, permitting us to bite into crisp veggies. A bit surprised that cheese choices were limited to American and Cheddar omitting other popular varieties. Coffee cups were regularly replenished.

Walk in it’s small, dead and food sucks.
The potato’s have no flavor and are over cooked while at the same time the onions and bell peppers and undercooked.
The biscuits are left in a spot where they steamed the top and wrinkled up, they are doughy and chewy. The gravy is just a cream gravy.
Paid 3.29 for a sweet tea and never got offered a refill. The tea was very good so it’s a shame I never got more.
The oatmeal is a bowl of water basically.
The best part was the fresh fruit even with the watermelon rinds.
Oh and it smells weird
