In room dining is served in a paper bag with plastic containers & cutlery in an odd attempt to be eco friendly. I had to pull an egg shell out of my mouth from the eggs benedict that had tasted okay before I felt the crunch. The chocolate croissant was basic with little chocolate filling.

Bar service at the restaurant was slow & the bartender was bored & couldn’t be bothered to check up on me after I ordered my items. I had to ask for a napkin & silverware as well as the check. I had a sparkling wine & the shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were jumbo & perfectly cooked, but only served with the smallest sliver of lemon & a sweet cocktail sauce that had a small hint of habanero.

On my final day here, I dined at a table for breakfast with 3 others & the service was horrendous. Our waitress took 20 minutes to take our order & didn’t put it in to the system immediately. She forgot two of our drinks and when she came to refill our coffee cups, she spilled all over the table and never came back with a new napkin like she said she would. We had wiped it up to keep it from spilling over onto our lap. After a 40 minute wait, we asked her if she’d forgotten to put our order in since we saw that others who arrived after us already had their food. She lied and said no she didn’t forget. Another 20 minutes go by and our friends had to leave to catch their flight with no breakfast. The waitress apologized and said she wasn’t sure what was going on but could we remind her who ordered what. We asked to speak to the manager and when she came over, she told us that our order hadn’t been put in & she apologized for the delay. The 2 basic omelettes we had from their very limited menu that we scarfed down in less than 5 minutes were fine, but this just isn’t the type of service you’d expect from a luxury hotel.

pretty restaurant with a lot of potential but they’re not taking it seriously. 2 people working at dinner, server, bus boy and bartender. There’s probably 1 person working in the kitchen. there were only 10 customers but the food took 1/2 hour to come out. The table next to me ordered right after me but didn’t get their food until iI was done eating. We had the salmon and steak and both were under seasoned. 18% gratuity automatically added which I thought was strange for 2 people.

Extremely slow service, and food took 45+ minutes to come out to the table. Ordered my steak medium and it came out grey. Completely over cooked but not worth waiting another hour for a replacement. Very disappointing and everything is over priced for such a limited menu.

Please do not go. Full disclaimer: we did not have a chance to actually eat there after waiting for 50+ minutes for breakfast (while a large table sat empty all this time). Buffet food looked scarce but the worst was management response – Molly H I believe – who shrugged off saying, well this is the best we can do. Well – we left and had a lovely breakfast at LPQ. If you stay at the hotel – do not count on the breakfast there and do not bother paying for breakfast as your rate. Unbelievably poor and rude service.

Pergola’s website stated that “Breakfast from the Market” offered either an a la carte menu or a buffet ($28pp). Not being a big eater I was looking forward to choosing from the a la carte menu. Made a reservation for 12/21/25.

I was expecting professional service, a choice of either the a la carte menu or buffet option and if seated by a window, a nice view. Unfortunately, none of those were available.

When I made the reservation (two adults and two children) I was not told that only the buffet would be available and that the price had ALMOST DOUBLED. In fact, I didn’t know about the price increase until after we were seated and I looked at the buffet and drink menu. Decided to stay since the children were hungry and we had tickets for the Nutcracker.

The food was marginal at best, the salmon was almost white, food was not replenished (ex. chocolate croissants), hot selections were cold, (ex. frittatas) at one point we had to use small plates since there were no dinner plates available. The waiter never cleared the plates from our table, I bussed the dishes myself since we were running out of room on the table.

The windows are so high up that there isn’t really a view.

And the final straw was that a 25% service charge was automatically added and right below this was a line for a tip! Needless to say I will NEVER return nor will I ever recommend this restaurant.

I’m honestly stunned by how bad the service was here, and it started before we were even seated. We waited in the lobby while staff looked directly at everyone sitting there and did absolutely nothing to help. No greeting, no acknowledgment, no explanation.
From the moment our food hit the table, we were essentially abandoned. After we finished our meal, our dirty plates sat in front of us for 45 minutes—no check-in, no offer of dessert, not even a passing glance from staff.
When we were finally ready to leave, it took another 30 minutes just to flag someone down for the check. By that point, we felt more like an inconvenience than paying customers.
I raised these issues directly with the maître d’, hoping someone in charge would step in. Instead, he simply repeated “sorry” and did absolutely nothing to fix the situation or make it right. No attempt to recover the experience, no adjustment, no urgency just empty words.
To add insult to injury, the bill included an automatic 18% gratuity. That’s a complete joke given the level of service—or lack thereof. Gratuity is meant to reward attentiveness and hospitality, neither of which were present.
What really says it all is that I shared this experience with three other hotel patrons who had been planning to dine here. After hearing what we went through, they decided to go somewhere else instead.
Being charged an automatic gratuity for service that never happened perfectly sums up this experience.

Had an awesome experience for brunch at Pergola on the 19th floor of the Bellevue today. The restaurant was crowded this morning after the Broad Street 10 mile race was over, but the staff was very accommodationing at adding two more last-minute guests to our party.

The buffet and our a la carte orders were great, the restaurant in general was just beautifully remodeled, and the service today was outstanding. We all had a fantastic time here, and couldn’t recommend this establishment highly enough!

My boyfriend and I had breakfast here the morning after our stay. It was delicious. We both had the full American breakfast, which includes the continental buffet as well as a choice of egg dishes that came with a breakfast meat and potatoes. It was a lot of food, and it was all delicious and very flavorful! One of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had in a while.

The downside is that it is very expensive but honestly, not too much more expensive than other similar breakfasts in the city. This breakfast includes coffee and a juice. So while it’s a steep price tag ($42), it’s not super out of bounds for similar brunch spots. That being said, I wouldn’t pay out of pocket for this. If breakfast is included in your room rate, definitely take advantage and eat at the hotel. If it’s not, you’re better off exploring somewhere else in the city for breakfast.

Got to the restaurant at 7pm, waited for 15 minutes at the bar for a drink while waiting. Male bartender might have been the rudest service industry person I have ever met. Took another couple’s order who had walked several minutes after us before he even greeted us. Order was taken at 7:20 (via chit). 1 salad and 2 steaks. Salad came out at 8pm after asking our server where it was. At 8:30 I asked for our food to go to eat in the room.

40 minutes for a salad and 1.5 hours for 2 rare steaks (that came out well done and chewy) is utterly unacceptable. All staff complained that they were understaffed. I stay in the area frequently for business and will not consider The Bellevue for future stays
