I spoke with Natalia and she went above and beyond for the delivery and set up! We had more than enough food and it was delicious. I would definitely recommend Mr. Gordo’s for catering and we plan to use them again in the future.
I got 3 tacos today: One Taco El Rancho, one Taco Mr. Gordo, and one Taco Dosbros. Menu attached so you can see what each tacos consists of. All 3 were really good, but the standout star for me was the Taco El Rancho. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve been on a carnitas kick lately it seems, and this one was plenty good with the seared pork on top of black beans. The Mr. Gordo was my second favorite with the grilled pineapple and steak. It was like a little “upscale” al pastor. All of the tacos and their toppings tasted freshly made and grilled. Good quality in the protein and full of flavor.
Comes with complimentary chips and salsa. Nothing too special about them, but good. They have a thicker tortilla chip here, and I do prefer thinner chips.
House margarits was a solid standard. Exactly what I expected, and I did need a little nappy nap when I got home.
Another place to mark off my #JaxTacoTour and I can give it the “Taco Trish Seal of Approval”.
P.s. – I dont care of you think they’re “authentic” or not. I just like good food, so save the “its not good Mexican food” for someone else. Please go do something positive other than hate on what other people enjoy.

Everything else was fine.
Well, the head waiter didn’t smile at all and he was our greater, so that put a damper on everything too.
Good luck.
The food is good.
Their chile rellenos are among the best you’ll find locally. I ordered the steak burrito, and my wife had the ceviche—both were outstanding. The flavors were vibrant, well-balanced, and clearly prepared with care.
The margaritas were equally impressive. It’s common to receive a drink that tastes overly strong or unbalanced, but theirs had the perfect blend of tequila and mix, resulting in a smooth, flavorful cocktail.
I’m also a big fan of their salsa. The blend of tomatoes, cilantro, and onion creates a fresh, well-balanced flavor that stands out from the typical overly chunky versions you often find elsewhere.
The service was top-notch. Our waitress was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming—something we truly appreciated, especially compared to some other dining experiences we’ve had in Fleming Island.
The only downside is that the pricing is a bit higher than what you might find at some other Mexican restaurants in the area. However, given the quality of the food, drinks, and service, we felt it was well worth it.
We will definitely be returning and highly recommend giving this restaurant a try.
