This spot has the best vibe and delicious food. Service is quick and everyone there is pretty nice. The miso ramen is flavorful, has a great amount of toppings, and has deliciously cooked noodles. Also recommend the salmon roll, whichever one has seared salmon. Oh and the spicy sesame cucumbers. So refreshing and tasty. We tried the Mentaiko udon that is cooked with kimchi, fish eggs, seaweed, and scallions. Absolutely fantastic.
Now for my standard comments. This location is clean and well kept. Indoor seating is comfortable. Seating is nice but chairs have no backs if that bothers you! Dalton parking garage is right around the corner if you cannot find any street parking.

Stopped by on a busy fri evening – they were packed but were able to find us seats quickly! They dont take reservations so maybe a wait during peak hours.
Traditional tables for 4-6 people so you may end up sitting next to another diners which is honestly – more than ok.
Clean! Food was GREAT and fresh!
Served quickly and professionally.
Take out is an option as well…
Prices for sashimi and sushi were a bit high – 50$ for 12 pieces so i opted for a specialty roll instead and wasnt disappointed!
My friend had tacos – loved it
I had spicy tuna tar-tar – wonderful
And i had shrimp tempura roll which was tasty.
Will be back for sure

Had a wonderful meal at Ju-Ichi tonight! We had a party of 9 enjoying a farewell meal. Very busy restaurant. But still managed to maintain service to a good level. For those that ordered sushi – was a longer wait but it was worth it. I had the sushi and sashimi meal and the fish was so delicious and fresh! Cuts were of high quality and well presented. I even had a take out meal of sashimi that was well presented and delicious.
Appetizers were wonderful especially the raw taki wasabi! Remember it’s BYOD to round out your meal!

Great food. Often busy at nights – especially Friday and Saturday and it can get loud. Never had to wait for a seat for lunch. Service is great but can be slow when crowded. One of the few restaurants that serves red miso soup which I prefer over the more bland white miso you usually get at Japanese restaurants.

Ordered chicken karage, shoyu ramen, and 3 roll lunch special on July 4, 2025. Everything was excellent. Highly recommend this place and I will be back again. Food arrived in a timely manner, and wait staff was great.

I wish this place was closer to me! The quality is amazing the fish literally melts like butter. I love their lunch specials, and I’ve also tried the udon, which was very tasty as well. I definitely need to come back and try more items on the menu.

Love the modern interpretation of a Japanese restaurant. The Kimichi Beef Bowl was outstanding, as well as the Salmon Avocado and Yellowtail Rolls. Everything tasted super-fresh and had lovely garnishes. The food came beautifully plated, which was so delightful to the eye. The staff is very attentive and friendly. We will definitely rerun many times.

Ju-ichi is one of my wife’s and my favorite restaurants in Morristown. The udon is satisfyingly chewy, and I love the different bases, eg I like when one of us gets pork kimchi and the other chicken udon and we compare how the former has acidic tang and the latter is thicker with an herbal accent.
Our second favorite item here is the kibinago (fried fish) as a filling appetizer.
Google maps shows I’ve uploaded 21 photos here over the last 2-3 years, which is why I don’t have any redundant photos attached to this overdue review.
The only issue I’ve had here is that they can get busy and you’ll wait a bit.
