Never really stopped into Baldwin prior. But I’m thankful I did today.
Hogg Pen is very easy to get to. There was plenty of street parking.
Hogg Pen is an easy-going bar and grill.
Our server was very nice, very friendly.
The food was absolutely fantastic! I WILL be going back for sure.
I also felt their prices were very reasonable.
I highly recommend stopping in here. Plus, Baldwin is just a nice place to go through.

Stopped in because of the good reviews on the place and food. Found a spot at the bar large enough for our group of 6. Bartender came by fairly quick to get our drink order and we asked for menus. After 10 minutes of looking over the menu and talking I told the bartender that we were ready to order. The response we got back surprised me. “I will take your order on my time, I am the only one here and when I’m ready I will take your orders.” Then she proceeded to make some drinks for the other side of the bar. It was at that point we decided that we would go somewhere else to eat. The bartender did come back before we finished our drinks about 10 minutes and said she could take our order. We politely declined and finished up our drinks and left. Place was nice with plenty of places to sit and room for people to shoot pool. A Saturday at noon and only one person working, I see her frustration. Instead of being like that to customers talk to the manager or owners.

Went here to catch a Badgers game. Plenty of screens and even some tables with their own screen ( see pic – our table had a screen) but we couldn’t control the sound or captioning. Saw other reviews with incidents involving POC but my non-white partner was treated fairly.
Fun thing is their 4 in 20 eating challenge. 2 lb burger + 2 lb fries eat it all in 20 minutes and it’s free. See pic.
Lotsa big burgers, like 1 lb, but they tend to overcook (burn) the burgers. I always ask for “No Burnt Parts”.
About 10 taps. Lotsa trendy flavored beers and ales but lack of Pilsners. Beer was cold n nice price. They do have spotted cow ( see pic). Server admittedly knew nothing about their beers. They could open Word n make a little handout with highlights of each one. There is a popcorn machine.

We were in from out of town and stopped in to get a bit to eat we had the pizza and it was amazing. The people were nice and we didn’t feel uncomfortable at all thank you for making our short visit great.

We’re just a couple of Sales guys who popped in to speak with the owner about her business. She was so kind and actually took time to talk with us when other bar owners might not. It’s great meeting industry professionals, so if her team is anything like her, this place is worth checking out.

Great food, great atmosphere, clean bathrooms, sweet pool tables, awesome staff!!! They have a small kitchen, but you’d never know it from the great menu! I think this is the most efficiently run small place that I’ve been to. Well worth a visit. We had burgers for lunch, then went back to get Broaster chicken to go for our supper. Yummy smells the whole way home!
