I loved Karen’s breakfast it is the best. I stopped in to try the lunch menu because I love the breakfast. I wasn’t impressed with the lunch it was really bland nothing like her breakfast. The cornbread was hard as a rock I broke it in half and it flew everywhere. I felt so bad after for the waitress(the clean up) they need to toss the cornbread it’s not even edible. They also don’t have a kids menu if I would’ve known that I definitely wouldn’t have came here today. The service is good, breakfast is the best , lunch was bland and wasn’t worth the money to me.

This place is always packed, been excited to try for months. The waitress greeted us with, watchya drinking? Told her it was our first time in. She took our order never came back till food was ready. Then never came back. She brought water once & left so fast I couldn’t ask for anything. The food is mediocre at best. Gigantic pork chop that the breading fell off of. Butter beans & Mac n cheese not even close to being lukewarm which means the food isn’t being held at proper temps. Corn muffin hard & cold. Went to counter to pay & there’s our server eating on the line. No wonder she never came back. She continued to eat, then came to check us out while chewing her food over the register while attempting to ask us how things were with food on her mouth. No point in complaining on the spot, Karen was there, it’s clear they don’t care unless you are a regular here.

First and last time. Over priced, food bland, small portions for the price and burnt cold food. Mediocre food and service. Meatloaf hard and cold, okra hardly breaded and burnt small pieces and box mashed potatoes. On top of all that we were also overcharged for unknown reasons only caught due to looking at our bank charge after leaving the restaurant. Super disappointed and definitely won’t return.

It was a good place to eat however not great in my opinion. The chicken fried steak was very small and didn’t taste homemade it came from frozen. The mashed potatoes weren’t special. The fried pork chop was tasty though and juicy although fried. The cornbread was inedible.

I ate there for breakfast. There are plenty of options to choose from. I ended up with the oatmeal with fruits. The food was very good and the potion huge.

Karen’s is a true gem in the Pensacola community, and our first visit today was a joy. The customer service was fast, hospitable, and consistent, the dishes were prepared and served quickly and were absolutely delicious, and everything tasted home made. The inside of the restaurant was clean and you could see it was well kept. We enjoyed a grilled pork chop, sweet potato casserole, cornbread, and green beans for one meal, and a delicious bacon cheeseburger and side salad for the other. The specials come with two sides and you will see they all sound wonderful, and there was a bunch of home cooked desserts available up front. A must try restaurant. Note, they are only open Monday thru Friday for breakfast and lunch. An easy five stars.

Friendly waitress. Stopped in for first time for breakfast. Standard home cooking breakfast. Hubs had two eggs, hash browns, toast and coffee. I had 1/2 order biscuits and gravy (one sliced biscuit). Biscuit light and fluffy, gravy thick and just a tad spicy and thick. Good.
2022 Update: Great waitress. Wonderful and fresh RW&B salad with homemade ranch dressing. Beef tips were also good. Got a coconut pie and pineapple upside down cake to take home. Can’t wait!

This place has to be one of my favorite places to eat breakfast and lunch. The staff is friendly. The food is fresh & fast! The environment is inviting. It’s southern charm. I love that they offer different types of sausage (links, smoked, & patty). Thy have the cutest mugs for my coffee. My belly’s happy, so I’m happy. I can tell they take pride in the cleanliness of their restaurant. The water tastes clean! Which means they clean their drink machine thoroughly. It’s been part of my route after I drop off the kids and on the way to work, love coming here!

Can’t believe i ate a place called Karen’s;and be my complexion.. But i must say food was very delicious people were friendly You can’t go wrong with whatever you order.. Breakfast and lunch menu will not disappoint..very clean and they have pie!!! Really wanted a slice… Will come again.. thanks to staff for being you in a world that doesn’t want us to get along. blessings to you
