The chicken did come out crispy initially, but it was served with the basil sauce poured directly on top of the fried chicken, which made it bready and soggy. If something is fried, I expect it to stay crispy, not soaked. I had to send it back because I don’t want sauce or juice sitting on top of fried food.
My egg drop soup also came out cold, which required another send-back. Soup should come out hot—especially something as simple as egg drop soup.
The server was polite and nice, but she moved so fast that she didn’t slow down long enough to actually listen to what I needed. I was trying to explain everything at once to avoid multiple trips back and forth, but she kept walking away before I could finish, which caused more back-and-forth than necessary.
As for the fried rice, it was very plain. When I got home, I had to fix it myself—adding butter, garlic, sesame oil, and soy sauce in my own wok—before it tasted the way it should have when it was first served.
Would I return? Probably not. The experience wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t good enough for me to want to come back, especially when I had to rework the food at home to make it enjoyable.
If you’re ever in Atlanta you HAVE to try Srithai: Thai Kitchen & Sushi Bar (Emory). My favorite restaurant hands down … thank me later ! The menu is so similar but the flavor is so good!!! I never pass up going there EVER
The laab chicken was extra sour and salty. It tasted like ground chicken soaked in salt and lime juice. The drunken noodles were so bland, barely had any basil, and the beef tasted weird. The drunken noodles were also soaked in grease, as you can see in the picture.
I’ve been to many Thai restaurants, and this is probably the worst. I don’t usually do reviews for restaurants, but I just want to warn people. It was a waste of money smh.
Due to a typo, we ordered mango sticky rice without mango. They wanted the rice we opened back so they can remake and charge differently. FOOD SAFETY VIOLATION. And cheap.
Their food didn’t have any flavor.
