This was my first time eating here. I ordered 2 catfish baskets and an order of fried mushrooms. The fries are good, they’re homestyle cut. The catfish strips are well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The mushrooms were good sized and beer battered. I’ll definitely be going back to try other things as they have gator on the menu.

I had a 5 dollar catfish lunch special. The food was hot and fresh and good. You have to call ahead for take-out or you will be waiting for 15 minutes on your order. They do take credit or debit cards.

The only good thing: the catfish. Thankfully that’s what they’re known for. Everything else tasted like it had been brined overnight in heavy salt water. It was horrible! Got the friend oysters that tasted like pickles. Also got the fried gator that they tried remaking, but it still tasted sour, almost like there was lemon juice infused into the meat. Not so fantastic. The only thing that didn’t have salt was the fries, which should’ve been salted! The air conditioning was broken, so it was hot as all get out. The place was also very unkempt and dirty. Not so great. Also, nothing was cooked consistently and myself and my other half ended up sick by the time we got home. Definitely won’t be back.
