However, my own experience was more mixed. I ordered the Chicken Biryani, and considering that I eat Indian food very frequently and have tried it in many countries, including India, Nepal, Singapore, Turkey, and various cities across the United States, I had higher expectations for a restaurant-style biryani.
One issue that stood out immediately was the service. When the food arrived, the server didn’t know which dish was which. I asked her which plate was the Chicken Biryani and which was the Chicken Fried Rice, and she honestly said that she didn’t know. This was a bit surprising and took away from the dining experience.
As for the food itself, the presentation of the biryani was quite disappointing. It didn’t look like a professionally plated restaurant dish and felt more like a simple homemade meal, without any attention to visual presentation. In addition, there was a very large amount of fried onions, which overpowered the overall flavor and wasn’t to my taste.
Another concern was that I kept biting into small hard pieces while eating. I couldn’t tell if they were tiny chicken bones or some kind of seasoning, but either way, it made the dish less enjoyable.
On a positive note, the restaurant was playing Indian music, which I really loved and felt added a nice cultural atmosphere to the space.
Overall, while there were some positives, my personal experience was average. For that reason, I would give this restaurant 3 out of 5 stars. With improvements in service, presentation, and biryani quality, it has the potential to be much better.
The price is very reasonable and not overly pricey.
We were there for lunch and buffet was great.
The service was great.
It’s not a romantic or upscale restaurant. If you’re hungry and carving for Indian food this is the place.
To begin with, the price of the buffet did not reflect the quality or service provided. Several plates had an unpleasant smell, which immediately raised concerns about cleanliness. The service throughout was poor. When buffet trays were empty and we politely asked for refills, the staff member or chef responsible reacted with visible anger and arrogance, which was extremely unprofessional.
The most disturbing incident occurred during billing. At the start, we mistakenly mentioned that our group had 20 people. Later, we realized one person had not arrived, so we correctly informed the staff that our group was actually 19. In response, the staff member rudely asked if we had “kept one person in the washroom.” This comment was shocking, disrespectful, and completely unacceptable. We were taken aback and did not even know how to respond.
Overall, the lack of basic courtesy, poor hygiene, and inappropriate behavior from staff made this an experience we will not repeat. This establishment needs serious improvement in customer service, professionalism, and respect toward guests.
Channa masala had so much oil that the plastic cover had oil inside it and was inedible
Saag paneer was bland and was laden with cream. The food was entirely inedible and very disappointing considering the prices and no requests were honored.
